We had a very nice stay. It's nice and clean, open and spacious. The indoor pool was a treat, especially when the wind blew. Could the fun still continue. Debbie and Jopie are special people. Debbie went the extra mile to keep you informed about just about everything. Had a very nice holiday. Just look forward to seeing us next time.

Was pleasantly surprised with the location and especially the terrace on top of the roof which made the view just incredible. Accommodation has everything you need and also provision for "loadshedding" which was a bonus for us. We were also treated to quite a few treats which were much appreciated. We could also bother our hostess at any time for any questions or help which was really so reassuring! We really enjoyed our time at Once Upon a Tide and only wanted to stay longer! We will definitely use it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away!
Perfect tranquil setting close to the sea to get away from the bustling city life. Beautiful and well equipped with everything you need, especially provision for loadshedding was a bonus. Great outdoor settings to enjoy meals outside too. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
The owner, Mr. JP, was very friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, he surprised us with a jar of raw honey that he makes himself and chocolate sweets. The place was neat, clean and cosy. And that impressed me the most. You only bring yourself, your food and your clothes. We will definitely visit again.

Unit was tidy and very well equipped. Enough space. All accessories worked 100%. Owners were exceptionally helpful and hospitable! A must-stay for anyone who wants to visit Hermanus!
Beautiful and comfortable place. Jopie was a wonderful host, the hospitality was excellent. The house was neat and clean and had everything we needed and well equipped. The gas plate and inverter were a great bonus. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood with a nice view. Would definitely recommend the place.
