My stay was way too short, lol. It was just what I needed, the place was clean and provided everything. I will definitely stay longer next time. Thank you.
It was very peaceful and I really enjoyed it.
We had the tent and wildebeest room with the braai. The place is ideal if you have commitments in the north-east of the city. It is very close to the Colonnade mall and various wedding venues. There is nothing to do in terms of vacation, unless you want to be in the malls all day. The access road does have some bad sections, and I wouldn't suggest you venture down the road with a low profile car. Anything

Under the Windpomp is definitely worth it for an overnight stay or a quick quiet getaway. The farm theme and decor is very nice. We received friendly and helpful service.

The water took a while to get warm and the bathroom was not clean. The bedroom was cleaner and the bedding was nicely washed and looked nice.

It was very peaceful and quiet. The room is very cute. We quite enjoyed the cow peeking around the mirror. My children also enjoyed the dogs that came to say hello.

Everything was spotless, excellent quality mattress and linen. We had a wonderful stay.
The rooms/units were very noisy due to inter-leading doors between the units not being sound proof. I suggest they address that issue otherwise it was okay.

My little wife and I are both from the countryside. Currently we find ourselves in the big city. This past long weekend we decided to get out of the hustle and bustle. Under the Windmill is truly a diamond just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Only the essentials are in the houses where we stayed. The owners, Simone and Carlos are probably the two best guesthouse owners I have ever met. From the time we arrived there until we left there, my wife and I's visit was a first priority for them. Many thanks to them for a wonderful break, we will definitely see each other again.
Onder die Windpomp's photos on the internet does not lie. My daughter and I enjoyed the decor, porch under the windmill, the sound of the water and the tranquillity a lot. Just what we needed for a quick getaway for one night, away from the city!

A beautiful little garden and artistically finished rooms create an accommodation with an authentic "farm" feel that nevertheless has everything needed for a comfortable and peaceful overnight stay. Salome had been very friendly and helpful. The wedding had already started at 3 o'clock and was about half an hour's drive away. Salome was very accommodating in allowing us to arrive by 12:30 so we could dress and get ready in peace. The only drawback is the approximately 500 m of slightly rough dirt road to them. It was passable with a car, but a bit scary for city dwellers.

It's a lovely place and comfortable. We would've liked a small stove in the unit though. The owners took great care of the unit and the antiques together with the modern decor made us feel at home. The layout of the unit was lovely.
