We really enjoyed it. From the moment we walked in and were received so kindly, we felt at home. The owner is a very friendly and helpful man. Responded to calls immediately and helped. For sure we would like to stay there again.

Really a cute place with the sea right on your doorstep. We and the dogs had a really nice stay. The house is clean and tidy with everything you might need for a lazy holiday. The alternator is a bonus that made us completely forget about load shedding. Many thanks to Pieter and Sonja.
It is definitely worth the money with a view to dream of. The place is very neat and well equipped, even with an inverter, so the loadshedding didn't bother us at all. Just a festival!
Our Cottage is well equipped for a lovely holiday, fenced and secure. The bonus is that one is not even aware of load shedding. Close to the sea for beautiful sunsets and long walks on the beach.
Enjoyed the view and found the house clean with all the kitchen utensils one needs. Thankfully, all rooms have fans as it can get really hot. Also great that we can take our 2 dogs. Elandsbaai is a small village town, so bring all you need as the local cafe is expensive.
Yes, we certainly had a good rest.
All problem was they advertise the full DStv package, but it's only Compact Plus which is unacceptable to me as it's world cup time and that's what we're expecting, I brought it to the attention of the owner, but still it wasn't changed , they also work a little on their communication person, because there were times when we couldn't get hold of her.
Could use some maintenance.

The house is beautiful, spacious, well equipped and perfectly located. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, and the house was as clean as a new coin. You are a few steps from the wide beach, and the glass-enclosed barbecue room gives you a wonderful view. Elands Bay was a big surprise - the scenery is breathtaking, and there are many interesting things to experience. Here you can just breathe and recharge. We are in love!

We had a great time together as a family in this little house. The house has everything and more than one needs for a nice break.
We stayed in Ons Huisie during the week. It was wonderfully quiet in Elandsbaai, exactly as we wanted it. We could read, barbecue and enjoy lovely sunsets from the barbecue porch. Our cottage is excellently equipped.

Nice clean house near the sea. Cute little town. We were met very kindly by Sonja and Pieter gave us all the information we would need before we could even ask. They took good care of us. The house is perfect for a family and their dogs. Even the neighbors are friendly and the area feels safe. The fish and chips were very tasty at Wit Mossel Pot and the ice cream is not expensive at all at Blue Bottle Liquors. We even saw the Sishen-Saldanha train pass a few times.
We will definitely visit there again.

I recommend Ons Huisie to anyone who wants to experience the peace of the West Coast. You really only need to bring your clothes and some food, the house is full of the rest. The house is well looked after and it stands out among the other houses in Elands Bay.
We love Elandsbaai. It is picturesque, quiet and friendly. The house is perfect for a few days away with friends. There is a nice braai, equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a pool table for fun after dinner. I would recommend the house anytime.
The house was very homely, a home away from home. Perfectly located near the beach, literally a few minutes walk from the beach, we loved it there! Comes equipped with everything and more you could ask for.
The owner has put a lot of effort into making sure the house is comfortable. The indoor grilling section is a big plus.

Despite the fact that we are not allowed to get close to the sea because restrictions, our week there was wonderful! The house was clean and tidy and everything you need was there. Would definitely recommend it.
We enjoyed it very much and the children had a blast with the pool table but only the sound bar of the TV just went off now and then.

We had no problems with the property which is comfortable and well-equipped, but Elands Bay has few facilities and proved too remote for us.
Our second visit to Elandsbaai as well as the second time we stayed at Ons Huisie. As always, it was the perfect holiday where you wish you could have stayed longer.
Our House is really value for money. The owner was also in regular contact with us to hear if everything was in order. Sonja, who received us and handed us the keys, is a gem!

We were pleasantly surprised with the location of the cottage and appreciated the cleanliness, as well as the kindness of Sonja which we received. She was also prompt with our arrangement for departure. The security gate at the back entrance was a mystery. The cottage is very comfortably furnished and the two separate bedrooms with private bathrooms were very convenient for us and our friends. The garage door that needs to be kept open to drive in can be problematic if no one is available to help. We were very pleased with the stay.
If you want to relax, this is the place to go to. It's right by the ocean and very peaceful.

Our House exceeded all my expectations! Clean, with everything and anything to make one's visit enjoyable. The closed porch area was lovely in the afternoons, especially when the wind started blowing. Our four-legged children enjoyed themselves on the beach, which is literally a stone's throw from the house.
It was a lovely holiday and we had everything we needed. Kitchen is well equipped and easy to keep clean. The view is wonderful and the location ideal, close to the shops, but in a quiet area.
Pieter, the owner, was very helpful and checked-in with us when we arrived to see if all was in order and it was. The home is comfortable with plenty of private spaces to retreat to. It is over the road from a beautiful swimming/surfing beach. The house is great for dogs too, we took our 4!

I would be happy to recommend Ons Huisie. The week we stayed there with our three Scotty dog children was wonderful. Well equipped, safe and friendly reception. We farmed on the porch and most of the time sat and looked at the sea. The glass doors on the veranda that can be opened give an even more wonderful atmosphere. Elands Bay is a gem. The tranquility descends on a person. Go for a walk on the beach with the dogs every day.

My husband and I had a lovely break at Ons Huisie. Although there is not much to do in the town it is perfect for busy city people to get away from all the noise of the city. We took our 3 dogs with us and Ons Huisie is perfectly equipped for people who want to holiday with their animals. Our House is also well equipped for larger groups of people or couples with children. We will definitely come again!
Very nice and affordable accommodation. Quite a few extras in Ons Huisie which are very cute such as, e.g. board games, a small bowl with first aid items, candles, good reading material that my oldest child and I enjoyed and more. Ons Huisie is a comfortable, clean, well-equipped holiday home. It is very well located and you can relax wonderfully while enjoying the most beautiful sunsets. There was enough for the children to keep them busy. Pool, board games, video machine and DStv, even a bike to ride on. The beach is practically on your doorstep. The cottage is well planned with everything needed to make your holiday comfortable and the layout lends itself to pleasant visits and easy cleaning. Everyone had a great time and the kids didn't even mind that it was out of season. We look forward to a next holiday there.
Our House has an excellent location and is clean and spacious. Comfortable and equipped with all accessories. A bonus that it is pet friendly and fenced for peace of mind that they can't get out. The place is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The ideal place to just relax. With the mountain on the left and the sea on the right you have "the best of both worlds", the view is also beautiful.

The whole booking process and contact by owner to the point of our arrival went smoothly. The owner provided additional information and quick feedback to our enquiries. The house is 100% furnished with everything needed: indoor braai, DStv, pool table and board games. It's close enough to the sea and convenience store to walk there.
Ons Housie is a gem just a stone's throw from the charming beach. The house has everything you need (double rooms with own bathroom in opposite corners of the house for privacy and people who want to sleep later etc.) and the location is much better what the pictures indicate. The fact that you can take your furry friends adds to a worry-fee getaway. The owners communicate quick and clear so the arrangements are painless. I recommend this place highly.
