The location is ideal for drives out to Seweweeksport, Calitzdorp, Ladismith, Anysberg, Laingsburg, Bosluiskloof and so much more. This area has a lot of history from the Anglo Boer War, and in Laingsburg you’ll find the Flood Museum from the 1981 flood.
Accommodation is offered in 5 Glamping Units, each individually furnished, which are 4 caravans or 1 tent, with added on kitchen and living areas. Each Glamping Unit has its own garden area and outside braai facility.
The Ostrich Shack and Donkey Shed are dormitory style rooms and features 4 single beds each with fresh linen and towels. These units make use of the central ablutions block that is fitted with showers and toilets. The showers make use of a gas geysers for hot water. The rooms also have a small stove top for the kettle. There is an outside yard area, partially covered with shade cloth.
The 7 large Campsites each offer a grassed section, and shade netting over part of the site to create a cooler outdoor area for the summer months. There are clean separate men's and ladies ablution facilities, both with toilets, showers and washbasins, and gas high pressure geysers.
On-site facilities include a rock pool, guest lounge, games room, plunge pool, self-catering, well-behaved pets by arrangement (there are free-roaming chickens and other wild birds), 2 undercover braai areas, and Wi-Fi. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the on-site activities which include bird watching, mountain biking, and cycling.
Nearby activities include bird watching, mountain biking, wine tasting, game viewing, and cycling.
There is no cell phone signal on the farm, Wi-Fi is available for WhatsApp and email use and the signal covers most of the units and campsites.

23 guests' feedbackA lovely getaway into the middle of nowhere. From the time you get there, you feel welcome and at home. The camp sites are well laid out with spotless ablutions.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings with well-equipped glamorous camping options. We will definitely go back!
What a lovely place to stay! Our trailer overturned and Ann not only came to help us, but fixed the trailer, and we were able to continue our journey as if nothing had happened. She was incredibly kind and supportive. Too bad you are not closer to Jhb, otherwise we would have been there very often! May you experience blessings in abundance!
Christo and Anne are perfect hosts with very unique amenities in an absolutely remote location.
Words cannot describe it to anyone. Ann are lovely people. Tell the guests the distance to the Karoo, it is an experience of a lifetime. Thank you very much. On the contrary, we arrived there unprepared and they absolutely accommodated us with crafted love. They are our friends now.
We had a very nice stay. Very quiet. Very nice bequeathed farm. Ideal for overnight stay.
Second time we slept over. Was once again a lovely break.
Thank you very much Christo and Anne. We had a wonderful stay and the caravan setup exceeded our wildest expectations. I personally just showered early so as not to face the cold evening air with reed bathroom. My husband says it's the best gas geyser shower he's ever used in his life. You guys have a gem of a place there.
Ann's bread and food are the best. Such a nice place to stay.
We were pleasantly surprised with the place. The Ons Karoo Farm is surrounded by beautiful mountains. The owners are always ready to help and their hospitality makes everyone feel at home. The campsites are neat and well planned. The whole site is neat and full of surprises around every corner. We would recommend the place 100%, definitely worth the effort and every penny.
The perfect stopover for adventure bikers. Ann is a great host, the place was all we needed. Christo is very knowledgeable about the area. He helped us to sort out some bike issues without which we would have struggled!
Great hosts who are very friendly.
No request was too small or too big. Ann and Christo are the most fantastic hostess and host. They do everything themselves! Everything is spotless, from the farm yard to the swimming areas to the units to the ablution blocks. We haven't seen a place this clean in a long time. Even before you wake up, your barbecue has been cleaned and your garbage bags emptied. Christo arranged delicious Karoo lamb chops and boerewors for us and there was no end to the supply of wood and ice (at very reasonable prices). Ann's bread is from heaven. We ordered 4 loaves of bread from Ann and it was the most delicious, soft farm bread we have ever had. The bar and pool table was also a nice relaxation area. The adults and children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and no one was bored for a single moment! Thank you very much, Ann and Christo! You are great people!
The road there and the county itself was beautiful. The place is in very good condition and the owners are very welcoming. Will go back again.
Awesome adventure biker-friendly spot! I can't wait to share this beautiful spot with my wife!
The location is great, the accommodation is clean and the people are wonderful. The food is amazing too.
It was now one of the best weekends and the most enjoyable end of our holiday. The Karoo is so beautiful there with the mountains around it. Ann and Christo received us kindly and made us feel like family. We had a nice time together on Friday and we were quiet on Saturday. The children really enjoyed the water pool and swimming pool. It was damn hot. Now it was a unique experience and we will visit again anytime. Thank you very much for an unforgettable weekend!
A very nice stay and a good overnight stay before or after the Seweweekspoort.
Wish we could visit longer.
Christo and Ann were wonderful hosts and gave us some great suggestions for day trips while we where there. The accommodation was brilliant, we really had a relaxing stay.
The farm is picture perfect and everything is spotless. Amazing is an understatement! Ann & Christo are 5 star.
The tranquility is just what we wanted, Christo's creations from old goods to practical, useful amenities were unique. Next time we will come with our children and grandchildren.
The type of place you don't want to leave.
