11 guests' feedbackWe had a great time. The bathrooms and communal kitchen are more than expected equipped with everything needed. Even an honesty bar. Pitches nicely leveled with a beautiful view. Reception by Francois (owner) and also prior communication was friendly and thorough. Always hot water. Highly recommended.

The hosts were very welcoming, and the scenery was amazing. Had an absolutely amazing time.
We only stayed for one night, the owner wasn't there but she was so lovely and friendly via WhatsApp that it felt like she was there. The bathroom and communal area are very clean and looked after and have an amazing view of the valley. Bring a ground sheet for your tent and wear shoes because of the thorns! We thoroughly enjoyed our very short stay there!
This is a 'different' type of camp, but found that some of the pitches are hard to come by. If you are there with a motorcycle, it might work, but a regular tent 'camper' doesn't have a lot of parking space. If you want to stand closer to the river side you will have to carry everything down. Furthermore, everything was beautiful and unique.
We were extremely impressed with Opi Oewer. Was a long dirt road to the beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere. The hostess brought us a salad to eat with our steaks. You can see that a lot of effort has gone into building the camping and accommodation sites. The rustic old memorabilia is very unique and the owners are very friendly people.
I'll go back just for the chats and braai pack.

Sara's secret has an elevated view over the river and the whole site. It's not what I expected from a self-catering unit, very small fridge. Outdoor sink. A little different than I expected, but the host is more than helpful.
Such a lovely set-up with open living space overlooking spectacular green reeds, with hundreds of birds to see. The bedrooms are lovely with lovely light linen for the hot nights. Opi Oewer Camping & Accommodation is a wonderful place for a large family gathering, or a group of friends to share a weekend away, but was also perfect for me, as the only one staying on that night.
Grass is beautifully green and the ablution and kitchen facilities at Binnelanders are great. Only negatives are the terraces and that you have to climb so many stairs and your vehicle that cannot park next to your tent.
