One or two things could be better (cork opener) in the room. Not really space for ice, front is not too secure for small kids; a small gate to cordon off for small ones would make a huge difference. Other than that, absolutely beautiful, everyone friendly. Would absolutely recommend.

Jewel of a place in the heart of the Karoo. Lovely caravan pitches, each with its own ablution block. It was so cute that we were almost jealous that we didn't camp. We did have a barbecue with our friends at the caravan sites. We watch birds and there is an awful lot of bird life.

Very friendly owner and staff. The campsite is absolutely superbly maintained. All the basic things you need are available on site, so you don't have to drive to Oudtshoorn every time. The nature is beautiful with lots of bird life. It is the ideal place to build up physical and mental strength again. The surrounding attractions such as passes, dirt roads, neighboring towns, etc. is also worth it.
Place just very small. There are possibilities that it can be increased. Actually just a room. Two people cannot be in the kitchen together. Fridge also too small if you want to stay longer than 2 days. Would prefer toilet to have a door.
The chalet has the basics that should be there, disappointingly the outdoor braai and grill were not cleaned, so if we wanted to braai you had to clean the braai yourself.

The unit was very small and we would probably not recommend it for an extended stay, However, we took a look at the caravan park and were impressed with the facilities on offer there. Would love to come back sometime with our tent trailer.

The pitch is spacious and covered with beautiful grass. The gardens are wonderfully beautiful all year round. We were the only campers there, but felt very safe. The view and the surroundings are perfect, you are surrounded by the beautiful scenery. Even the short drive out to them was not a problem. We prefer to stay out of town.

We had a fantastic time at Oppi Dam, there are two lovely swimming pools and also a dam you can row on! Everything was spotless and tidy. The farm is a few kilometers outside Oudtshoorn in Schoemanshoek and the location is picturesque. There are numerous restaurants in the area and even a small beer brewery at Karusa. Will definitely recommend!

Lovely lawns between the pitches keep everything free of dust when other vehicles pass by. The owner, Pierre Schoeman, immediately attends to any problem that arises. If you just want to rest, this is a good idea. If, however, you don't like children making a noise around the swimming pool, rather avoid it.

Had a lovely stay and a nice swim, have no complaints. Would suggest that the sides of the roof are covered completely. The morning sun blinds you a bit, and on the bathroom side we were pestered by bees who flew in there. The only thing that was an issue for us was the Alsatian that walked around freely. The dog relieved himself next to our tent and pushed his nose into our bags. We had to chase him away.

The service was excellent from the moment we got there until we left. The lady on duty came to our campsite twice over the weekend to make sure that everything was in order and that we had everything we needed. The place was spotless and an effort is clearly being made to properly maintain the facilities and ensure that the lawns remain nice and lush.

Excellent location but unfortunately the 3 star rating is misleading. The cottage is not 3 star quality in my opinion. No privacy as there is no door to the toilet. The shower's hot water supply has a problem, it's boiling hot and the next moment freezing cold without you even turning on the cold tap. Owners should not threaten guests with a fine if you leave dirty dishes, what is the guest paying for? Definitely not cleaning yourself.

There is only one recommendation that we would mention at House 2: It might be good to install a door, even a swinging door, between the living area and bathroom. For privacy and potential 'bad smells'. The owner asked our opinion about television in the cottage and we feel it is not necessary at all. This beautiful place made us so peaceful after a busy 2014. My wife and I spent 3 nights in the Cottage, which we found to be well appointed, very well maintained and spotlessly clean, albeit quite small. Oppi Dam is well located, close to several popular sights and attractions as well as Oudtshoorn itself, should you need to do some shopping. At the same time it is also remote enough to allow you to relax completely and unwind. There is a general dealer onsite, and a restaurant which whips up some delicious food which is very well priced. We received fantastic service from Rosina and the restaurant staff during our stay, and would not hesitate to make a booking here again if we need accommodation in the area.
Little thing we received is very friendly and made sure we were satisfied. The environment is beautiful and peaceful, but it's for people who are satisfied with the basics.

Overall very good for the price. We had a few power failures due to the bad weather - rain and thunderstorms - it was not nice when we woke up and we had to wait for the office to open to inform Oppi Dam management that we did not have any power to make our morning coffee - however it was resolved immediately by them and they even offered us coffee there (great service)!
Beds a little hard for the "mature body", and we "city types" missed TV quite a bit. Otherwise, everything was above expectations.
