This gem is in a quiet area of the town. The owners/hosts are very hospitable and have gone to great lengths to make it clean, well-maintained and comfortable. It's just what we needed after driving for 9 hours from Cape Town. The photos match the amenities and exceeded our expectations and is great value for money.

I enjoyed my time at the guest house. The location is ideal if you want tranquility and I particularly liked the sunsets. We had a nice braai area outside our unit (even though we didn't get to use it) but coffee there in the mornings was really enjoyable. The host was very good at communicating everything concerning our stay and was kind enough to give us an extra portable bed! Overall good value for money!
We had a very nice stay there. Nice and small and cozy with a nice aircon in it. It's been a long time since I've made a fire with such nice dry braai wood. Secure parking with cameras and an old dog that is nice and awake at night. We named him after Fido.

I have stayed at Oppiplot a number of times over the years and I am always impressed by the high standards.
We were looking for a comfortable, inexpensive 1/2 way stop during our trip & both there & back, Oppiplot checked every box. Excellent value for money, super comfy beds, clean & neat, great host, will definitely be staying over at Oppiplot on our next trip to the Northen Cape region.

Oppiplot is located in the heart of the Karoo. Upon arrival we were kindly welcomed by the owner. The place made you forget about the dry Karoo, because we were welcomed with a beautiful landscape with greenery and decoration. Full access to DStv, WiFi and air conditioning. You could that you are traveling. Oppiplot will definitely see me again.

We stayed at "Oppiplot" self catering accommodation in De Aar, Northern Cape. We were very impressed with Janine's professionalism and personal touch. The property and accommodation is neat and clean with all the home comforts available. I would not hesitate to recommend them as an overnight destination for the weary traveler.
Very accommodating and helpful hostess, the unit was spotlessly clean and contained all the utensils required. The only complaint is lack of shade at the units. It got very hot during the late afternoon.
