Easy check-in. Neat rooms and easy check-out.
Very helpful lady working at the reception, friendly and kind service. Room was very neat. Exceeded my expectations. Cosy room and the cherry on top was a kettle with coffee/tea for the cold weather.
Might not be the best first impression but we had the best stay, small guest house so nice if you are a big group of friends, you can basically rent it all out and be close to each other. They have a nice outside area that one room opens up to and a passageway from other rooms leads to it. Had some drinks at the bar, and Cynthia was nice enough to assist us late at night. Very nice people, we will be back when we come to Caledon!
I will definitely recommend it to my friends and I will definitely want to offer my mother and mother-in-law the opportunity to experience the peaceful and unique house, but then DStv will unfortunately have to show their Turkish channels as well. Otherwise I am more than satisfied. Thank you very much, it met all my needs. The garden and the use of your kitchen, as well as the stoep were tops!

I love a nice shower and a comfortable bed I have a funny back - was perfect walking distance from shops and safe parking and I look old type buildings.
Was a good pit stop on the way on holiday.
Like the generator, and the WiFi, it was there, but the cottage that os booked couldn't accommodate those two things. On Sunday, no one could take a shower because the water was cold. There was not enough toilet paper given, there was no soap. There was also no wood, and it says on the website, there is wood available.
What you pay for is what you get, it's not great but the beds were comfortable. There was not enough cutlery and crockery for 5 guests, we had to go get more plates, glasses and mugs as well as towels. There was a leak that was reported and nothing was done to fix this. There is Wi-Fi available but does not reach the flat. It is a very old house that needs some TLC as it has a lot of potential.
The guest house itself is not a problem, the floors are dull, the place needs a good cleaning and the cutlery is not sufficient at all, bedding needs to be replaced, color of duvet washed out, amount for accommodation was way too much for that type of service .
We were there for a wedding and we were able to safely store our car. We slept on a lovely, big bed. They changed our room with a room that has a bathroom attached, so that my small children use the bathroom in the evening. It was really very nice.
Very nice stay at Oppiestoep. Nice spacious rooms with all the necessary facilities. Very good and friendly service. Nice quiet. Will definitely come again.
The hosts, management and staff are very friendly and hospitable. It was our second stay and found it very pleasant.

Although the staff was very helpful and friendly, the overall look, feel and location of the guesthouse was not as per our expectations. We felt rather unsafe. Would definitely not recommend this for anyone traveling alone.
We arrived at your place on Tuesday and were terribly disappointed with the walk-in. Your advertisement is misleading. First of all, the place smells of smoke, the parking area is unsafe and unkempt. The room doesn't even have privacy with the shower so open. Then we are told as grown women "Just keep your eyes closed to each other". Rooms must be clean for guests, we didn't experience it that way at all with all the spiders and smells in the room. I don't believe any person will feel safe or sleep well with open doors, people hanging out on the stoep/entrance and all the street children who spend so much time on Oppistoepie Gastehuis' stoep. The alley entrance to your parking area smells of urine, the writing on the walls is enough to put any person off and make them feel unsafe. The back parking is sloppy and the grass is long. As women, we find it extremely unsafe to drive in at night after work. Advertise Oppistoepie Gastehuis instead as a Ladies bar and Slot hangout.

It was nice to have a bar, slots and barbecue area in a B&B. Casino itself is not far and shops right on your doorstep.
Smoking area inside the property leaves a bad smell, property doesn't smell fresh at all.
Feel they should explain to one more thoroughly about room options. Not all rooms have toilets.

Place was fine, however I did not expect to share the toilet with other guests. Please note that the shower leaks excess water.
The rooms were very nice and clean. However, the room for 3 only had towels and coffee cups for 2 and the open shower was a bit strange. The bar in front of the place attracted some noise. Very friendly hosts.

Stay was great. Nice pub with a fireplace. All restaurants are around the corner.
Can only speak highly of Oppistoepie Guest House. The friendliest service and one immediately feels at home there. Will go there again anytime. All of us who were there for the weekend were very satisfied with everything.
Very well looked after spot in the center of town. Offer behind gate parking with your stay. Very nice place with very nice people. Always friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone who asks.

Oppistoepie offers accommodation for one night but there is room for improvement - for the same price we have had much better value for money elsewhere. Although the place and bedding were clean, the towels smelled like cigarette smoke.
The whole place reeked of cat pee and smoke. I don't care for modern but the smell was very bad. I will not go back again.

Our room was nice and big and beautifully decorated. We like our space! I had a warm sleep. Our host, Salomé is a lovely person and she is very helpful.
Noisy, no coffee / tea and toilet facilities in room, mens' toilet dirty, safety of parking space for vehicle not up to standard.
Only plus was that we slept well on the comfortable bed.

The room rate is not worth it. The rooms are right next to an alley where homeless people made a noise til 5 in the morning. The bathroom walls were rotting away with mould.
