Just what we needed. Quiet, with a beautiful garden.
Enjoyed it. Sitting at night with the family by the fire watching a movie. Comfy house that had all we needed.
It was a lovely, homely clean cottage. Evenings around the fireplace (with a glass of wine) and friends made the stay cosy.
It was very good. This is the second time we have stayed in this cottage. The first time was in February this year. It's very secure, lovely scenery, heaters provided as it was winter. Plenty of hot water for showers or a bath. Had Netflix, great internet. We will definitely try and book this place again. If there are children, there's a small play area with a seesaw and swing nearby.

Good WiFi - if you need to work online. We had a great time and are happy to recommend this place. By far the best value for money in the area.

It was precisely what we wanted - to sit in front of the fire in a cosy cottage in McGregor, close enough to everything, but private and quiet. The wind was howling and it was raining which was actually delightful. I loved the smell of the thatched roof. We stayed in one of the other cottages with our baby son 27 years ago - it remained a special place to stay. Thank you.

Wow, wow, wow this is such a stunning cosy little getaway, neat, clean and everything that we needed for the long weekend. Centrally located and we could go see so many places and do so much restaurant hopping. Loved the welcome treats, thank you very much to our hostess, even coffee, sugar and tea. Orchard Cottage comes highly recommended if you want the peace and quiet of city life. The cottage garden and braai area is stunning. It has been a while since I could sit in the garden and enjoy the beautiful roses literally hear all the bees buzzing, that's nature at its best. Thank you for all the literature that guided us to the local restaurants in McGregor and the surrounds. It has been a weekend to be remembered thank you again to our hostess Petro and the LekkeSlaap team, as always you never disappoint.

We enjoyed our stay @ the charming vintage Orchards cottage. A perfect place to relax away from the rat race of the city. Some rest and relaxation was what we were looking for. The bed with the fresh clean linen was very comfortable. We loved the braai area in the large garden and the magnificent views. I loved that the cottage is in a gated village. The surroundings was peaceful and quiet since we came there until we left. I would highly recommend Orchard cottage to my friends and family!

Two bedroom cottage with everything you need. Great attention to detail with layout. Internet, DStv and smart package channels on TV. Outdoor fire pit excellent. Outdoor lighting recommended for barbecuing. Will visit the place again and highly recommend. Wood is R15 per bag at the Chinese shop just around the corner.
The bathrooms could benefit from rubber mats, became quite slippery when wet. Otherwise great place!
Orchard Cottage is very secure and the cottages and gardens are so beautiful and well looked after in the security complex. The scenery is beautiful and the walking paths are a delight. The mountains and farms are beautiful and especially so beautiful at Eselstjiesrus. The most delicious breakfast served there with so much good work being done there. A must visit, friendliest people and great service. Thanks to our guide she was a winner. Visit McGregor and support the local community. The market, the delicious restaurants and nice people.

It was very clean and tidy, the directions were easy and well pointed out. There was no need to ask any questions, everything was just there and right. Will only make one suggest that they put a light on the outdoor braai that shines sharper on the braai itself.

As a family we just wanted to get away and spend time together and at Orchard Cottage we were able to do that. We couldn't have asked for more, the cottage had everything and more we could need, it was very clean and tidy and we had our own little garden where we could have a quiet barbecue. Would go again anytime enjoyed it very much.

This was my first booking on LekkeSlaap, and everything went so smoothly that I will do it again. The booking process was easy, and the information we received directly from the owner, Petro, was helpful. The cottage exceeded all our expectations. Clean and tidy, with everything you need for self-care. At one point, my mother needed a pair of scissors and noticed that they were the only thing missing. 2 minutes later she finds one hanging under a barrel rag! We felt so at home that we were reluctant to go back home.

Really incredible attention given to the smallest detail - firelighters, rusks, electric blankets, wall plugs of all kinds. It's really a very special place. 10 out of 10 to the owners. On a cold evening, a carpet in front of the fireplace would be nice, but I also understand that it could easily be damaged by the fire. The two bathrooms for 2 rooms are also a definite plus.

This accommodation was recommended by family and we were very impressed with the place. Orchard Cottage is incredibly good value for money and we would stay here again any day. The house can easily accommodate 4 people and has 2 lovely bathrooms. The outdoor barbecue is very cozy and the garden beautiful. The area has lots of things to keep you busy and the village has nice coffee shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend Orchard Cottage.

Lovely little house with everything you need. Neatly finished inside and out with a swimming pool for the hot days. Very good value for money! Everything you need to be self-sufficient!
We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights, which was long enough. The owner's communication was very good. We have, however, followed all the instructions as discussed via email, but never heard from the lady that was suppose to welcome us. Luckily the cottage's keys was in the post box. The bedding and towels were clean and neat. The kitchen, however, wasn't. All the plates and bowls we took out was dirty and full of fat. The house could do with more fans especially in summer. We luckily found one fan in one of the rooms.
Owner and caretaker very friendly, with complete information beforehand. House was clean and neat, roses in garden beautiful! Something that bothered us quite a bit was the neighbours' dogs barking a lot, also early in the morning right outside our window. Furthermore, there was a stray cat that kept coming into the house and onto the beds. Something that future clients should take into account is that there is not a lot of space to unpack, because of the owner's personal belongings being kept in the house. The surroundings are beautiful but there is a lot of noise coming from the neighbours, especially in the afternoon. It puts quite a damper on being outside.

Every year during Women's Week, my longtime girlfriend and I break away for a "girls" weekend! This year McGregor was our pick. It was 100% worth it! Orchard Cottage is cosy, tidy, well furnished and beautifully situated. We met Petro Coreejes Brink in person and had a nice chat. She is clearly very proud and loves her place among the fruit orchards! We would recommend Orchard Cottage with an open mind.
One night in McGregor is not enough. Orchard Cottage was more than we expected. So peaceful, cozy and even with a power outage a lovely experience.

It is a nice old house for an overnight stay. We really enjoyed the braai facilities and the children had a great time cycling while we had a peaceful time.

McGregor is a stunning town, with plenty of restaurants and interesting shops. The Orchard Cottage is situated in an orchard of fruit trees, with beautiful gardens and nothing to bother you. The linen is clean and durable. There is everything you need for a self-catering unit. When it rains the cottage is a bit small for a family with children, but for up to four adults it is acceptable.
Our stay at Orchard Vottage was so nice. The house is clean and tidy and everything you could possibly need is available. The environment is wonderfully peaceful and safe. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
