32 guests' feedbackThe camp and facilities and our time at Otium Oasis were absolutely lovely, in spite of our booking falling in the heart of the cold wet winter. Our hosts made sure that this minor detail does not spoil our weekend. Thank you, you really went above and beyond and we appreciate you.
Great camping spot!
Very pleasant, but only stayed one night
So near yet you feel so far away sitting in the hot tub with a few springbok roaming freely. The unit has everything needed for a relaxing stay. The aesthetic bath was the winner and will definitely be back.
The Tipi Tent was just as it was in the pictures and it was good to see. It was very peaceful and we as a family could spend a lot of time together in nature. Thank you very much aunty for your hospitality and your attitude. We'll see you again soon.
Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. Sorry the road was a bit rough, especially if you can't come with a tall vehicle. The view is beautiful, privacy, everything was just great.
Beautiful, nice and quiet, value for money and have already recommended.
Very peaceful and quiet and the bathrooms are excellent.
For the first hour I had to chase mice around to get out of our chalet, I had to move fridges around to get rid of them, the mouse "droppings" were everywhere, the glasses and plates were full of mouse "droppings", we had to wash everything before we could use it. The fridge on top was pathetically dirty. Very thick layer of grease and dust, you can see it is not cleaned, we brought it to the owner's attention, after which she told us she would send someone to come and clean it. Well, someone was never there. I couldn't wait to leave the place on Sunday morning. Sorry, but I feel it is not worth the money. As stated that there is wifi, well there isn't.
Enjoyed the silence and being in nature.
The owner was very kind to upgrade us. There was so much to experience and do for the kids. Feeding the alpacas, zebras seeing the pics, baby ducks roaming around, playground for the kids, giant chess and small pool with a roof for even the rainy days. We spent most of our time in the hot tub till late at night and early morning. The glamping was so nice with plenty of space for a family of 4 to move around. Small kitchen with everything you needed. Ball and claw bath, shower and toilet all in the tents. The beds were very comfortable, with electric blankets. All around there were beautiful pine trees and it was lovely to wander around and pick up pine cones. It's only a short drive to the town where we ate at the Posthuis restaurant that really spoils their guests. Never knew about this little gem and would recommend it to honeymoon couples and families that want to spend a relaxing weekend away in nature. Thanks to Alet for the hospitality.
Not a bad word to say. The best people and place we have found in a long time. Thank you for the extras you do for the guests to make it just a pleasure. Would definitely recommend for a family with kids.
A great place to relax and hang out with friends. Quiet among the trees with plenty of space and very neat ablution facilities. We will definitely come here again, Alet is very friendly and helpful.
The friendliness of the owners was so comforting. They are so humble. I will definitely go again and recommend them to everyone.
Facilities are very good with everything you need for your glamping experience.
We enjoyed it very much. Will definitely visit again and bring the rest of the family.
An absolute must! The balance of the outdoors and luxury was spot-on. The animals were a bonus and so cute. We felt so free and unplugged from the norm. The owners are super friendly and helpful.
Stayed in one of the teepee tents with a few friends. Was a very nice camping experience without having to worry about setting up a tent. There's no electricity, so prepare for that. Very nice bathrooms. Alet was very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay at Otium Oasis. The tent was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The children really enjoyed the playground, swimming pool and animals. Unfortunately still people who don't follow basic rules, so there was music noise from time to time. Think it's important to mention that the only 'stuff' option was an induction hob. We couldn't use our coffee pot on it and they couldn't offer an alternative. Nor was there a grater or can opener.
The most beautiful 2 souls, Aunt Alet and her husband. Very nice place and everything you need is there. Most important of all is that silence. Enjoyed every moment. Beautiful and clean place. See you again for sure.
Our stay was very pleasant, tent very comfortable. Owners very accommodating and friendly. Should inform people about the 20 km dirt road to the camp.
Wonderful place and stay.
First time in Tesselaarsdal and it was very nice! The silence is incredible and everything was just great!
We had a great time at Bright Valley. The girls (8 and 10) loved interacting with the various animals and assisting with the chores on the farm. The hosts are very friendly and sociable and we all felt right at home. Highly recommended. Remember to bright all your groceries etc., as Tesselaarsdal has limited supplies of those and Caledon, Stanford ad Hermanus are some distance away.
Our stay in the Alpaca tent was awesome. Only issue I did have was that there wasn't a blind in the bathroom window. Neighbours' kids played there most of the time, thus no privacy in bathroom area. Also the chair on the deck needs to be replaced. Everything else was 100% and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely visit again. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful.
The tent is well equipped. A table was missing. We had a great time relaxing in the peaceful surroundings under the beautiful starry sky.
The right place to go if you want to get away from the busy city life.
Very relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. You can recharge in the beautiful green scenery. very nice
Thank you Garry and Nicki for your hospitality and providing top notch accommodation. We will definitely see you in the future.
I was just very annoyed by the fact that the pool was dirty and they couldn't clean it, and our braai light was dead on Friday and we had to wait until Saturday for another one. Nobody told us how the feeding of the animals works.
The place was very comfortable and very private. There are a few items that need attention though. The chairs on the deck need to be replaced. The pool/Jacuzzi also needs a cleaning but it may be that it is not yet the season for swimming. We really enjoyed it and would like to visit again.
