Guests are welcome to explore the 196-hectare farm on foot or by mountain bike, or simply enjoy birdwatching from the patio. Since Ou Melkstal is located on a working farm, cattle can often be seen roaming around.

We had such a good time. The communication was very good and Danie was very accommodating. The freshly baked banana bread was an added bonus. The decor and finishes of the place are beautiful. There is everything you need in the kitchen and good quality bedding. We will definitely be back.

Genuine peasant hospitality from everyone we met. Attention was given to all the little things. The Old Milk Stable was very neat and very clean with the nicest bedding. Danie and Edna were very accommodating with my request to check out later due to circumstances and made us feel really welcome. We will definitely stay overnight at the Old Milk Stable again.
The attention to detail is out of this world, one of the most family finishes. Just far away from town not to be a hassle if something is needed.

Very nice unit on farm, very nicely decorated and very neat. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is ideal. I would prefer it if there was TV and MNet channels and wifi. May I also suggest a lamp or 2 to use during load shedding at night.
