The self-catering chalet we stayed in was absolutely beautiful, and the gardens stunning. It was such a nice, quiet, tranquil place to stay to break up our trip home, and my son loved it! I would highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience and we are so glad we were able to stay at Oudam. We originally planned for one night, but extended our stay to 3 nights because of the good price and value for money. The gardens, birds, surroundings and beautiful residence were simply refreshing. Top class.

"Had a wonderful experience and the hospitality was second to none."

What a gem, on arrival we were immediately welcomed by the host and taken to our accommodation, as well as shown to the rest area and where the braai and social area was. We quickly packed up and we went to watch the Springbok's game where a warm fire was made for us and blankets were offered. We sat and talked and then went to a barbecue where we were surprised with a nice home-baked bread. Later in the evening we had table prayer and continued to talk and then later took a shower and slept. What a nice comfortable and warm bed with a feather duvet. The next morning we got up and walked around the premises a bit and were really surprised and amazed with all the antiques as well as the beautiful garden. My family and I will definitely stay there again. Would really recommend to anyone.

I am a seasoned traveler and Oudtshoorn is among my top 3 best places to spend the night. The attention to detail is a testament to passion. The garden layout is full of character and is definitely an oasis for a concerned traveller. 's owners are old-timers and it feels like I've made new friends. They also do small wedding receptions in a beautiful setting. 10/10.
