The accommodation is beautifully and safely situated amongst the hills just outside Riversdale. We were very kindly received by the owner of the guest house. We were in a sticky situation because our car broke down in Riversdale, and she immediately came to help us. Because we didn't have a car, she made sure that we got dinner in the evening and in the morning. We ended up sleeping there for 2 nights, but could have easily spent a week there. Thank you very much, Dina.
Peaceful, beautiful gardens and awoken by birdlife. Just what we needed after a long drive. Next time will stay longer.
We had the most wonderful stay. Our room was tastefully decorated with ample attention to detail to ensure a great, comfortable experience. The gardens are stunning, with lush, green lawns and an inviting swimming pool. All of this, coupled with ample space, fresh air and tranquility, made us wish we could stay longer. Thank you to our lovely hosts who were most caring and spared no effort to make us feel at home. We will definitely go back.

The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If I had to find something that could possibly be improved, it would just be the bed. It was slightly too hard, but I guess that's a personal preference. Dina was wonderful and communicated very well in terms of our arrival, etc. A little gem in the heart of Riversdale. We will definitely be returning.
Dina is a hostess 1000. She made sure we were at ease. We stayed in the Old Mill as well as in the garden rooms. Everything was perfect. Clean, tidy and would definitely stay there again. It was wonderful to be able to stay here.
The setting is breathtaking and you feel as though you are in the countryside. The sight of cows grazing during sunset is the perfect sundowner setting. Underfloor heating keeps the unit warm and cosy. Hygienic unit with all you need to self-cater! Town 5 minutes away makes it a pleasure to top @ one of the best Spars in the Cape.

We were warmly welcomed by Dina. The Old Mill Cottage takes you back in history with fantastic old and modern decor combined. Absolutely beautiful, clean and lyrical. We felt so at home and will definitely visit again.
Lovely large grass fields for kids to play with a pool. The garden provided lots of places of discovery, and with the Easter weekend, our children had a blast looking for their easter Eggs and treats amongst the plants and trees.
Our hostess, Dina, received us kindly and introduced us to all the various amenities. Dina's "personal touch", a very tasty slice of homemade banana bread for two with homemade strawberry jam and butter was top shelf and made us feel so at home. The room and shower were clean, tidy and perfectly set up for two people. The gardens were a feast for the eyes and the tranquility and safety was so good for the soul. We would anytime recommend Oude Eik Guest House to travelers in the Western Cape area.
Dina is a lovely host. The rooms are wonderful and equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The gardens and swimming pool are magnificent although we could not use them due to the rain.
Just a pity we only stayed for 1 night. Will definitely recommend it. It is worth the money.
