What a gem in a very small town! So comfortable with 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6 adults! Very comfortable with a gas stove and oven during load shedding. Very safe and we enjoyed it a lot!

Incredible value for money. The house is beautiful. Friendly reception by Heidie and her cute little dog. There was lovely rusks for my morning coffee and what a pleasant surprise to find an electric blanket already switched on when I went to bed. I can most definitely recommend Oumas Kothuis.

Grandma's Cottage is very spacious, comfortable and tidy. The house and kitchen were very well equipped for self-catering and we lacked nothing. Lovely fireplace and air conditioner for the cold Karoo evenings. One really felt like we were visiting grandma at the weekend. Nothing was too much trouble for Elsabe. She received us so kindly and hospitably, with so much care! Thank you very much, Elsabe!
It really feels like you are staying in "grandma's house". Very comfortable stopover on the way to the West Coast. Everything was clean and tidy and even the air conditioning was switched on in advance and the delicious coolness was a relief in the Karoo heat. The peaceful surroundings and well-kept garden make one feel so peaceful. Will definitely stay at Ouma's Kothuis in the future. Thank you very much, we felt so welcome.

We decided at the last minute to travel earlier from the Free State to Namaqualand. We booked Ouma's Kothuis in Vosburg for our halfway destination. It was perfect to recharge our batteries for the long road ahead. Many, many thanks Tannie for the extra effort with the coffee, delicious biscuits, fresh towels on the beds and the soaps and cream. Will definitely stay there again. Karoo hospitality at its best!
