Our rooms were impeccably clean, and the hosts were so friendly and crept into our hearts. The establishment is absolutely perfect, especially for a peaceful break away from the city buzz. We all slept like babies. Everything about our stay was perfect.
Dave and Sandra were exceptional hosts. Went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and had everything we needed.
Our hostess and host quickly made a plan with delicious lasagna, salad and garlic btood. Extra mile was no trouble. Lovely people.
Friendly, welcoming and good accommodation and breakfast on the way to Hermanus from a hectic stay in Jo'burg. This is the first time I've stopped in Uniondale. I'm very happy to have chosen Ouwerf to stay at and highly recommend it. The hosts were welcoming and concerned, made an excellent breakfast and did everything to make my stay very pleasant. The attached coffee/gift/book shop is a haven that I can highly recommend as well. The town is charming old Karoo and near to nature reserves and hiking trails. I could imagine staying there to do some biking, birding, photography - a good destination as well as a stopover.

I was well received on arrival and had a nice stay for the one night I stayed. The rooms were neat. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. The only negative points are that there was no electric blanket on the bed. It gets bitterly cold in the winter and I think an electric blanket is a must. Furthermore, the concertina door between the bedroom and the bathroom could not close, and getting out of the shower was a cold experience. It should be repaired.
Sandra and Dave received us so hospitably. They wanted to make sure that we had a peaceful time with everything we would need. Thank you Sandra and Dave for a wonderful time with delicious breakfast. The peaceful atmosphere did us good. Shalom.

It was a fantastic stay.
The host and wife were extremely friendly and helpful and we immediately felt at home. The room is beautiful, cozy and comfortable, and the shower facilities good. It was also nice to be able to sit down for breakfast, and get recommendations on what to see in the area etc.

What a surprise this beautiful guesthouse in Uniondale was. Original building with wooden floors. Owners Michael and Antoinette are very friendly and helpful. Most delicious breakfast. Their coffee shop has the most interesting items.

Rooms are neat and well planned. The restaurant at Oude Werf makes the most delicious food. The lamb stew was unbeatable. Will stay there again.
The rooms have fine detail and cute extras. I really enjoyed the magazine articles about the area and it influenced our further travel plans! I am not in favor of guest houses where it is the owner's place of residence. There is a fine line between the spaces of guests and the owners' own space.
