The only big thing that bothered me very much was the many mosquitoes, but otherwise I would definitely stay there again.
I recommend Oxnead Guest House without any hesitation. We had a wonderful stay and Nelia went out of her way to make us feel at home. Everything was clean and tidy.
I loved the french provincial feel of the guest house. The owner welcomed and served us with real hearty boere hospitality. The family room was spacious, very clean and neat. The beds were great quality mattresses and subsequently we got a very good night's sleep. The location is quiet and very serine. The little garden/court yard added to the tranquil feel of the place. My family and loved the place and are sure to visit again.

Overslept to be near hospital, was kindly received. Everything was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Nelia was very helpful, even offering to take my daughter in the hospital anything she would need after I had to go home.
Not what we expected. Room needs refurbishment in terms of crisp linen, quality of pillows, freshness of towels. Room at the end of a plot located next to neighbors where dogs barked non-stop, so no rest or relaxation after a long journey.

From the moment I arrived at Oxnead, Nelia made sure I felt completely at home! The room I was in (Tartan room) had everything I needed, including a microwave oven, complete DSTV package and WiFi! The room was neat and clean, all service was excellent.

The TV doesn't work at all. The rim of one glass was chipped. Car park open. Maintenance poor. Door of cupboard where cutlery is hung on one hinge. Sugar, coffee and milk powder in glass containers are damp and hard, so how do you make coffee?
Nice place to spend the night. If we are in that area again, I will definitely consider staying there again. Well located, close to good places to eat. Will always recommend the guest house. Clean and tidy. I would prefer to park my vehicle in a locked area for the night.
Nice owners. Cracked toilet seats, creaking doors, howling dogs yards from your room. We were moved to the other side to avoid the dogs then the one across the road started. Not a place you will get any peace.
