Get 10% off for any stay that doesn't include a Friday or Saturday night (minimum 2 night stay). Valid for stays from 8 Oct 2024 until 30 Nov 2024.
This modern double-story house comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a separate guest toilet, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, a bath, a shower, and a basin. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed, the third bedroom contains 3 single beds. The second bathroom is fitted with a bath, a shower, a basin, and a toilet. All the rooms have a sliding door that leads out onto the large patio overlooking the ocean.
Located on the first floor enjoying a lovely view of the surroundings, the large kitchen is well equipped with a gas 5-plate hob, electric oven, microwave, and fridge, with everything you might need, watch the whales and dolphins whilst preparing meals. The dining table and entire first floor overlooks the ocean. The open-plan lounge is equipped with a TV with full DStv, Netflix, free Wi-Fi access, and a lovely fireplace, as well as an indoor braai area. For loadshedding there is an inverter that runs the WiFi, TV, and lights. There is also space to charge your cellphone. Oyster Bay is safe and not overcrowded, especially during peak seasons with kilometers of unspoiled beaches, rock pools, and absolute unspoiled nature.
Unfortunately, there are no garages for vehicles, but the property is on a cul-de-sac street, so there is ample parking.
Oyster Bay Sea Haven is situated right on the beach. Walk from the house onto the dunes and into the sea.
Guests can go on guided walks for birding among the wetlands and fynbos, horseback riding, sandboarding, or hiking, at the nearby Oyster Bay Lodge. There is a restaurant and a small shop with everything you might need. Oyster Bay is ideally located as a base for trips to Baviaanskloof, St Francis Bay, and the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve.

21 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay! The house was spotless, comfortable and very spacious. The view is fantastic, especially from the kitchen's enormously large window. The kitchen is very well equipped.
We had a wonderful stay. Location and view are just perfect. We will definitely come back for a second visit.
The house is stunning. It is impossible to be bored. There are games for the family and kids. You will forget to look at your phone.
Lovely house with breathtaking sea view! Wish we could have stayed longer!
The host was perfect and very accommodating. The property was stunning with breathtaking views. Watching pods of dolphins while making your morning coffee or whale watching while you braai, the location assists with instant relaxation. Lovely beach walks and well-marked walks through the bush, the property location is perfect for outdoor lovers and families wanting a break away. Even with the intermittent rain, we had indoor facilities and games with an inverter to make sure we got to see the game and made the most of the outdoors between the rain. We will definitely be back.
Unfortunately the inverter didn't work, WiFi is too slow for DSTV. The house is a bit dirty. We had to wash everything before we could use it in the kitchen. Nice view.
View fantastic. Place needs TLC. Too far in on a gravel road.
The most incredible place and a real pleasure to stay there. It was a pity about the sewerage tank but things happened I believe before we got there. It was paradise and I would definitely go again. Pity there is no dishwasher especially in a drought area, something to consider going forward.
What we liked: The location and view from the house, as well as the bedrooms. What we didn't like: The 2nd bathroom's shower didn't work, the crockery and cutlery were dirty and we had to wash them all before we could use them, the trash wasn't emptied when we arrived, and was rotting. The fridge wasn't cleaned either.
Most beautiful view of the sea from every room. Very close to the sea, the footpath just very uncomfortable.
We were lucky with lovely weather and the 4 teenage boys were permanently on the beach, between the rocks or in the water, even though it was early August. The location of the house is perfect and probably has the best location in all of Oyster Bay. The house itself has all amenities possible and we really can't say anything negative about the house and its location. The only small downside is the path to the beach. It's not particularly suitable for older people (grandmother was with me) or people who have difficulty moving. We had to take a detour to get to the beach right in front of the house for grandma's sake. Otherwise a perfect getaway for someone who likes quiet.
One cannot get better than that. On the sea, but built high on pillars so that the sand does not blow in. Bunch of porches. New. Sheltered braai area and fireplace. Nice beds. Path to the beach. Sea's roar in your ears.
Delicious indoor barbecue. Could do with new bath towels. Relax with a wonderful sea view.
If you're looking for a quiet relaxing place to spend time with the family then this is the place!
Love Oysterbay. Loved the accommodation. Would recommend 100 %.
The scenery is truly breathtakingly beautiful and the house is perfectly located. It is modern, spacious, very light, and comfortable with everything we needed. There is also free Wi-Fi and DStv. It was neat and very clean upon our arrival. The view from the house, over the fynbos and dunes to the sea, is picture perfect! Words do not describe it. The tchokka boats were clearly visible from the house for the first two nights, which added even more to the atmosphere. It's wonderful to be so close to nature here. A very special place where one can rest, relax and get away from it all.
Excellent location, but the house not worth the price. Kitchen not fully equipped and house has problems with damp leading to damp carpets with unpleasant smell. The house needs serious renovation and cleaning.
Would recommend the accommodation anytime. Very clean and tidy and a nice holiday home with a sea view.
I will certainly go back. Had an amazing stay and did not want for anything.
We like a quiet environment where the children can come and go as they please. Experienced everything like this. Only negative is the large number of fishing boats with their bright lights in the evening.
Stay was very pleasant, fell asleep every night with the roar of the sea in my ears. The house was big, tidy and had everything you could need. Incredible sea views, feel like you are staying right on the beach. Ideal getaway for families/couples looking for some peace and quiet, or want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a while. There is a footpath from below the house between bushes directly to the beach, but be warned, use at your own risk, there are snake warning signs everywhere in town on bins and coastal walkways. The village of Oyster Bay is very quiet and peaceful (stayed out of season and during the week), and there is a general trader, who at times is very busy with lines of people waiting to be helped. Seems to be doing good business with locals from the adjacent squatter camp. Also felt safe with the neighborhood watch patrolling the streets at night, because it's very dark and quiet in the evening. Would recommend the house to anyone who can appreciate the natural beauty and tranquility, and is looking for a getaway.
