The sea-facing room is furnished with twin beds, while the mountain-facing room is furnished with a double bed and a bunk bed. The bathroom is separate and fitted with a shower and bath. The toilet is separate.
The outside cottage has two rooms. One room is garden-facing and furnished with a queen bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, The other room is mountain-facing and is furnished with twin beds, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The well-equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, a gas oven and stove, and other appliances and utensils to use.
The house boasts 2 living areas; the first is an informal lounge, and the second lounge is opposite the dining area and has a wood-burning fireplace. The second lounge leads out to the verandah, which has 2 outdoor tables with seating overlooking the garden and mountain. There is also a braai area and an outdoor hot-water shower for guests to use.
The property has private access down to the beach and the river. At the bottom of the private path, just 10 meters down from the garden, is a little cove where guests can set up their umbrellas and watch the kids swimming, boogie boarding, fishing, and playing beach sports,
The town has a unique biodiversity of birdlife and animal life, including the protected, local baboon troop. Please note there are baboon-proof windows and verandah door gates to prevent baboons from entering the house.

1 guests' feedbackThis was our second stay at Oystercatchers. We once again had the most unforgettable two week family holiday at this stunning beach house situated right on Rooi-Els beach. The easy access to the beautiful beach and lagoon makes beach days hassle free. The house had everything we needed and so much more. It is spacious and has enough space for everyone to enjoy privacy but also space for everyone to come together. The large shared kitchen is a space where everyone can spend time together and two beautiful lounges with spectacular views allows a space for everyone to cosy off with a book on their own. A playroom/lounge for the kids on the first floor is a big plus. The patio is wonderful for sitting outside and having a braai, but also perfect for those windy and rainy days when they come. Cathy was a wonderful host, she was very helpful and communicative throughout our stay. We hope to return again one day. The house is equipped with information and tools to help you with the baboons. Be aware and vigilant.
