The service was great! When we arrived there were sweets for the children and chocolates for the adults - you should have seen the smiles on the children's faces! was friendly and very helpful. We felt at ease upon arrival. The cottage was very comfortable - everything was there. It rained during our stay, but we were snuggled up and quite happy just listening to the rain. The bed was heavenly!

Indeed, this donkey is a wonderful thing! If you are someone who likes simplicity, beauty and a house with heart, this small cottage, surrounded by the most beautiful garden, will make you so happy. Our family of 4 recently had to find a place to stay for one night on Swellendam. How grateful I am that the doors of Pajama Donkie opened for us - and how sorry we were not to have arrived earlier in the day! The warmth made us feel at home as soon as we stepped in. The attention to detail immediately reveals something of a hostess with a thoughtful and caring heart: for me and my husband there was a welcome chocolate on the bedside table, for our 2 children each an Easter egg. There were illegally-delicious biscuits in the jar, fresh milk & strawberry jam in the fridge - and in the bathroom, even face cloths for removing make-up. Als was fresh, spotless, neat and just lovely - a place that testifies to pampering. Even the pull-out couch in the living area on which the little ones (3yrs. and 9yrs.) slept was of super-quality - everything except that often hollow-backed sleeper that we've all had to face somewhere along the way. After unpacking, being able to relax with a coffee on the front porch with a view of the mountains that tower over here according to your big toe was a breath of fresh air for the soul. In the late afternoon we went for a walk - blissful! Literally a cat's pee down the road you walk through a lane of beautiful trees, over a babbling river. The children, tired from a long drive, could explore barefoot and us adults could feel how our long-distance nerves just say '…'. A few steps further, and you run into a big surprise: the most beautiful horse farm. 'Breathtaking' may sound like an icing sugar word, but that's what it was! In this Pajama Donkey's stylish, fantastically equipped stable, any traveler can come and saddle up with great joy. We would love to come again!

We had an incredibly nice stay. We were kindly received at an extremely stylish and neat residential unit. A lot of attention has been paid to detail. We were provided with everything we needed to barbecue. It was just damn nice. Few hosts receive and see you off. And the coffee was damn good.

Only stayed one night for a sporting event, but really value for money and the cleanliness of the cottage was amazing. The owners also went out of their way after we forgot 2 items in the cottage. I will for sure recommend to friends or stay there again in the future.

The unit is beautiful with attention to the smallest detail which makes the stay very special. Flowers from the most beautiful garden and chocolates on the bed are one of the nice treats. The unit is comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely linen and beds. Secure parking was a big plus. The unit is also completely secluded and very private. We will definitely be back again.
