The owner is very considerate. It was a comfortable place. We will definitely use the place again.

Upon arrival, we paid the deposit and pet fees via EFT and provided proof of payment. This was not accepted as it needed to be cleared immediately. The owner asked for immediate EFT, I did not understand it as immediate clearance. Occupation, although paid in full, was denied. We had to provide additional cash in lieu of the EFT that needed to clear. The kitchen does not have the following: a toaster, serving bowls (we bought 1 and left it there), braai tongues (we bought and left it there), a cheese grater (we bought 1 and left it there), a braai meat dish, only 1 sharp knife (we bought 2 more and left it there). No blinds / lace in front of the windows when the curtains are drawn open (lack of privacy). We paid a pet fee of R50 per dog per day - this is normally to cover "dog cleaning" after the stay. We paid maximum 6 person fees (R 1630 per day) for 3 people (pay per unit cost). The area's streets are in a very bad condition, potholes everywhere. Upon departure, we cleaned the house (broom, mop, bath, toilets, dishes - more than reasonable cleaning). We cleaned up after our dogs as best we could, considering it was raining every day (even the day we departed). The main bedroom mattress needs replacement, it is finished. The shower curtains are too long and cannot dry properly. It's clingy when showering. Was expecting shower doors. The front gate was not automated, but manual leading to a security risk. We eventually, after repeatedly asking for the return of our deposit, got a list of damages that we supposedly have caused, and subsequently forfeited our deposit. We disputed the allegations. Cleaning after guests have left is a standard industry norm. Pet fees are charged to facilitate additional cleaning required when pets are allowed. Overall, this has been a very bad experience, and we would not recommend this property.
