High quality finishes and fittings, caring, caring host and wife, and WiFi that makes accessing the flower viewing web pages easy, are just some of the outstanding aspects that make a stay at Palmboom special. Wildlife, apart from the sea, such as shy divers that graze in front of the house and a paradise for bird watchers, makes a stay special any time of the year. Thank you very much.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palmboom. The apartment was clean, very comfortable, and spacious, just a few minutes' walk from the sea. The thoughtful host provided ground coffee and homemade rusks, in addition to all the amenities one could need. We will definitely be back, especially for her homemade rusks! The enclosed balcony was perfect for watching the sunset as a family and having a braai afterwards.

Nice sea view, clean and friendly reception. We were just in time to view all the lovely flowers.
Excellent location to explore Langebaan, West Coast National Park, Velddrif, Paternoster and Cape Columbine. Stayed here to see the wildflowers and West Coast Fossil Park. The location was picturesque and quiet. We were able to end our days on a quiet and safe walk along the coastline. Shops are close by in Vredenberg, Saldanha and Langebaan. The kitchen is well equipped for a short stay and there was plenty of comfortable space in which to relax and watch the sunset. Our daughter could unwind at the end of the day with some TV. Tersia and Johann are very friendly and offer up excellent advice on places to visit. There is an inverter for loadshedding. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Rusks, firewood, etc. were welcome additions. They have a very friendly dog who you can meet if you want to.
Our 3 nights at Palmboom were too short. The porch room is a winner. most beautiful view and all the feels of Jacobsbaai visiting the palm tree at Palmboom. We were delightfully spoiled with all kinds of extras. Thank you very much. It was a peaceful and very enjoyable visit.
From booking to confirmation to the stay itself, nothing was too difficult for our super host Thersia. The finer details like wood/matches, bottle of bubbly and filter coffee made the stay so much more memorable. Access to a garage for our car made me sleep so much better. Our hostess, Thersia, was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Palmboom is perfectly positioned - one is protected from any gusty winds yet the view is breathtaking. The unit itself is light, bright, and airy with crisp linen, fluffy towels, well-equipped kitchen, cosy living area and it boasts a lovely indoor braai with stacked windows that open up wide on those balmy evenings.
If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Friendly/helpful and thoughtful owner. Awesome views, clean, and spacious. A home away from home. Lock up the garage for safety. A quiet and peaceful place to recharge batteries.

Everything you need, nice view and patio windows that can be closed with a practical built-in braai on the patio a bonus. Mattress in master bedroom needs replacing. We had to sleep on single beds in another room. Despite this, we had a nice rest and stay. Jacobs Bay is picture perfect and we really enjoyed walking trails.

If we could give the place even more stars we wouldn't think twice about giving it. We felt so at home and were also pampered by the owners upon arrival. What a beautiful, clean, tidy place to stay. We enjoyed it so much we were so sorry that we only stayed there for 2 days. Beautiful sea view from the balcony where you can grill a nice meat and just "relax". Really soul food for the soul the place. Didn't want to drive. Would recommend Palmboom to anyone, because that's life, just finding yourself again and appreciating what's around you.

We all so enjoyed our stay at Palmboom! The apartment was neat and clean and had everything we needed, along with some thoughtful extras from our wonderful hosts. The position is perfect, within easy walking distance of the coastline with lovely safe trails through the coastal fynbos to magical bays and rock pools with lots to explore and discover. And after a day of exploring, sitting on the sun-warmed balcony or later with the fire going, while looking out at the ocean, restored all our souls. We are all looking forward to a return visit.
