Beautiful, well-maintained place with friendly people. Units are clean and new. Just a friendly request that the pillows should be replaced. A bit on the hard side. Luckily we brought our own pillows.

Palmhof Chalets are very close to the main N14 in Kakamas, but they were not noisy. Chalets are equipped for an overnight stop, everything necessary is there and there are plenty of shops in the town as well as some good restaurants. The lawn was as wet as swamp. You couldn't have walked on it at all. I would suggest they replace the bathtub with a shower. Because the shower that sits in the bath is very impractical and unsafe. The bathroom is soaked when you have finished showering. Furthermore, we had a very nice stay.
The braai area is good, but there is no privacy. The gardens are very neat. Air conditioning in every room is very good. The intercom and phone number on the gate did not work and we waited a long time in front of the gate. Please sit down a temporary phone number if the cables are stolen.
They should consider allocating the parking places per unit. When we arrived after supper, there was no parking spaces available. Later that evening, a couple of spaces became available as visitors left the premises.

We had a very nice stay here. The pool was a hit to cool off after a long, hot day. Everything is neat and clean with friendly staff. The security guard that is there throughout the night just gives you that extra sense of security and peace of mind that your vehicle is safe in the parking area.

The chalet is spacious and very tidy. The parking lot is safe. Unfortunately, it does not have all the TV channels available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are neat braai facilities just outside the chalet. The location is very good as it is just off the main road. There is a KFC and also place to get breakfast very close. Clean and tidy self-catering accommodation in Kakamas, each unit has its own braai facilities with everything you need. There were even delicious winter snails for the cold.
I could quickly make a booking and help was fast to reserve the accommodation.
It was nice to arrive there and find friendly ladies in the reception office. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even let us have a little more coffee and tea than was available in the chalet. It's just a shame that the bedroom with the double bed was a bit on the cramped side. There wasn't really a place to put your luggage down, but we survived. All the kitchen appliances worked and so did the TV. We had a great time braai at a nice braai place that is at each chalet. Really a place to sleep on the way to Augrabies. One can even stay there one night longer and then just go to Augrabies for the day and come back again, because some of the other places' prices are absolutely ridiculous. I would definitely recommend the place to people.

Palmhof Chalets is well located between Pretoria and the West Coast. It's easy to find if you drive into Kakamas. The whole place is tidy and safe and the rooms are clean with clean white bedding. Each room features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, as well as a TV. The rooms are connected by a lockable vestibule. Palmhof Chalets are now equipped with 25 rooms and chalets, of which 4 are bed and breakfast rooms and 21 are self-catering. Our secure units all have braai facilities and we have a lovely pool for the warm summer days.
