They were very helpful and accommodating in all our requests. It was a blessing to deal with the hosts on our special occasion.
Tarryn got in touch to find out what time we would be there. Anthony welcomed us and explained everything. Paperbark is exactly as advertised, very clean and tidy. Tarryn sent me messages about where to eat, shops, and more. She also let me know what time loadshedding starts. Provision was made for coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and biscuits. Paperbark has the most beautiful garden that gives one a feeling of calm. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks Tarryn for everything.
The grounds on the premises are big and very relaxing with its natural surroundings. The location is central to many amenities and beautiful leafy surrounding areas. We were very impressed with the unit, the huge garden area, and the peace and quietness. Paperbark Cottage exceeded our expectations and we will definitely recommend and return.
This is our third visit to Paperbark Cottage and it was as good as always. It is well placed for our requirements and is very comfortable with all the amenities that one needs. In addition Anthony and Taryn are lovely people and excellent hosts, very happy to help with any requests. We will certainly return next time visit Gillitts in KZN.
The hosts greeted us heartily and informed us fully on arrival. A lovely, roomy cottage surrounded by a beautiful garden. We loved the roominess of the bedroom, lounge/kitchen and beautiful bathroom with both bath and shower. A lock-up garage was also available. Thank you to the hospitable Antony and Tarryn!

Warm welcome from the host. Easy access with spacious parking. We could have had a lock-up garage, but we opted to park in the driveway. The decor could do with an update, but the room was comfortable with a view of the lovely garden. Unfortunately, we couldn't connect to the WiFi for some reason.
Paperbark Cottage is nicely centrally located, and it makes it nice to be on the beach within 10 minutes.

Anthony and Tarryn are super hosts for this lovely garden cottage - they are very helpful indeed. The cottage is a very peaceful with a wonderful view on to the garden. This is our second visit and it meets our needs for our visits to the Kloof/Gillitts/Hillcrest area. We have no hestitation in recommending it to others.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage looks exactly like the pictures we saw online. If you are looking for a safe place to stay, while you explore the surrounding areas, this would be it.
It's very clean and perfect location, one side and no disturbance.
No ice in the freezer and glassware could do with an upgrade.
Very nice spacious and apartment. Comfortable bed and everything worked as it should. Host was friendly and helpful. The only complaint is cleanliness but people probably have different standards. The microwave smelled bad and my wife washed it. The dish towel that was there was dirty. Some of the cutlery was also not clean and the lounge sofas also need a good wash.
Had no problems there, the hosts were helpful and the garden is amazing.

What a wonderful stay in a very peaceful and quiet area with the most beautiful gardens. When you sit outside it feels like you are sitting in a rainforest somewhere in the world and nobody knows about you. What a beautiful place, where you find rest for your soul.
Immaculate garden, lovely little cottage only a short drive from the beach (30 min or s ) - far enough away that you don't get locked in on bad traffic days. Fantastic hosts, and a complete value for money.

The cottage is situated in the quite suburb of Kloof with breathtaking garden view, that makes you feel like you're in the country side
The cottage was neat and tidy, quiet and private: A few things to consider: The fridge is far to small to enable self catering and should have been de frosted before guests arrive. Maybe a small ice tray would be nice. There should be more crockery and cutlery especially glasses. I had work collogues come for meetings and catch up and didnt have much to offer. And it said there was Netflix and yet there was nothing but a snowy SABC1?
The place is a very safe and is very quite. It's very clean and the owners are very friendly. Definitely going back.

Quiet, spacious cottage in a secure area with a beautiful garden and I would definitely go back there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We specifically chose this cottage because it has a shower as well as a bath! We have a few recommendations: The kitchen is very sparsely equipped for self-catering, it would be better if the crockery, cutlery and glasses could be increased to 4 of each instead of 2 of each, there is not a glass bowl for a salad either. The frying pan was a bit dilapidated and needs replacement. The small fridge needed defrosting as the freezer compartment was so heavily iced that we could not put our ice packs in there for our cooler box (which we needed for travelling). Apart from these things, we truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage which is set in the most beautiful woodland/forest type of garden! It is a true haven of peace and tranquillity. We will definitely go back there whenever we are in that area again! Blessings!
The people were very friendly and accommodating, would stay with them in future and can recommend them.
Dogs did business outside front door not picked up in 5 days preventing us from sitting outside or opening door. Fridge had sour odour. Bin in kitchen tiny.
Close to the M13 and Hillcrest shopping mall. Very neat clean guesthouse, has lovely gardens, safe and with a lock-up garage.
