The house was perfect for my family. Me, my husband and 2 adult children, as well as my very elderly mother. We were received so kindly and really didn't lack for anything. It is a very big bonus that the house still has power supply despite load shedding. I never even knew when the power was out. We would definitely like to holiday here again. Thank you very much for everything.

We were there with our adult children and also 2 month old granddaughter. The apartment layout, kitchen, furniture, amenities, everything was perfect. The linen and kitchenware were top quality. Elise is a star.

Everything was clean and smelled good. All the facilities you need are available such as espresso coffee, dishwasher, washing machine etc. All 3 rooms are en suite, which is great. Very nice sea view and the beach is 50 m from the porch. The 'firepit' also serves as the braai and if the wind blows it just makes the braaiing difficult, an indoor braai would have been ideal. We would recommend the place to anyone who wants to stay close to the beach and is looking for a neat, modern house. We were also able to check out later and enjoy the last day - Elize, the owner, is very friendly and considerate, made it very enjoyable for us.

Elize, our hostess, really set up the spacious, super-tidy unit under her house, close to the sea in Stilbaai, excellently and thoughtfully. The dishwasher and washing machine are very handy, and the car unloads on a level surface, also very comfortable. The braai area and outdoor living area are very well furnished and one can sit and look out over the waves. In the high season it can probably be a bit busier with beachgoers in the street, but it really didn't bother us. We would unreservedly recommend Papillon to guests who would appreciate exquisite accommodation by the sea. There is a large table with chairs indoors where even business travelers can work comfortably with the WiFi.

"Well equipped, neat and convenient."

It is a beautiful place. We would have preferred a Mediterranean theme more than a normal home theme, but then we are old Stilbaaiers. The beds and bedding are top quality. I feel the showers in the bathrooms can be upgraded. The shower in the master bedroom has no water pressure when a toilet or other faucet is open. It also leaked a lot of water. A double sink will also be a recommendation. The rest of the bathrooms can also be redone to match the rest of the home, as well as the price charged.

Die plek het my vir 'n oomblik spraakloos gehad. Dis mooi en skoon en gerieflik. Op die stoep sit en vir die see kyk met 'n beker koffie, dis salig, jy voel hoe ontspan jy, jy ontspan van binne af. Ons het regtig baie lekker gebly, sal beslis in die toekoms eerder hoor of die huis beskikbaar is.

"If I could, I would rather be able to go there myself every off time."

It was one of the best experiences ever for us. We decided at short notice to go to Stilbaai for a family long weekend for a break and some rest. We studied all the available places and decided on Papillon. We weren't sure about the view or whether we would enjoy the location, but little did we know what was going to await us. We were surprised out of our skin, it is so close to the sea, it has the most beautiful view of the mouth and you constantly hear the soft roar of the breaking waves. The traffic is limited and you can really soak in and enjoy the silence and tranquility. I could write volumes about the facilities and hospitality of Elize and Papillon. So I will try to keep it short and to the point. Papillon is practically furnished, you don't lack anything. You feel dignified from the first moment you walk in until you have to say goodbye again. I was really pleased to see that everything had been thought of. Each bed has an electric sheet to heat your bed and scare away the winter cold when you want to go to sleep. The bathrooms are painfully clean, comfortable and the water is lovely hot after 6 people have cleaned. I can really only sum up the whole experience as a 5 star event at an affordable price, treat yourself and experience the extra steps Elize takes to give you the best time. Papillon is a must.
