We were more than satisfied with the booking process, communication and attention to detail.
The grandmother of one of our friends we traveled with lived in New Bethesda. Walked in all grandma's footsteps and in the evenings had a wonderful time around the kitchen table.
Since we started traveling in 1995, we've stayed at loads of fantastic (and some not so fantastic) self catering establishments. Well, Paradise in New Bethesda overshadows them all. What an outstanding self-catering house! Firstly, the 1870s house has been impressively renovated, all done to the correctness of the period, enormous wooden beams, thatched ceilings in some rooms, plastered ceilings in others, smooth colored plastered walls, the wooden floors, the wooden doors and windows all carefully restored with period-correct finishing and ironware. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and have mosquito nets and air conditioning, with electric blankets for winter, beds are soft with snow white linen. The quality of bathroom fittings is of the highest standard and the kitchen is equipped with appliances and fittings that belong in a gourmet kitchen, complete with a high quality, modern wood burning stove. The mix of stylish and top class modern furniture and antique furniture flows well and is beautifully decorated. Everything was in place, spotlessly clean, and the house is well equipped against load shedding and has wi-fi. The gardens are meticulously maintained with the peaceful sound of running water on a Sunday morning accompanied by birdsong is wonderful. Lovely large patio with a beautiful view of the village. The owner, host agent and staff are very attentive and helpful, communication of any events, load shedding and the weather are shared through WhatsApp messages. Make no mistake, stay at Paradijs, it's wonderful.
This was a beautiful home with lots of space and all the facilities you require. Lovely outside areas, perfect for catch ups with friends and family. It is within short walking distance of the attractions of Nieu-Bethesda. Both host, owner and staff were extremely attentive and helpful.
We had a very nice stay. Only wish we could have been there longer. Well equipped, especially for the cold winters! Really a cute little place!
Beautifully laid out, very stylishly furnished, ideal for a large group of people.
