Paradise Private offers accommodation in 4 semi-self catering studios, unique in character, situated in the tranquil neighbourhood of Paradise in Knysna. Three studios enjoy beautiful views of the Knysna Lagoon and the well-known Knysna Heads and the 3rd studio overlooks stone-Zen garden. The accommodation is ideal for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.

Experience bio-inspired, wood eco-architecture with organic and indigenous plant-covered roofs. The design of the units creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. The studios are accessed via a wooden boardwalk that leads to a private entrance. Two of the studios (Nature-Zen & Tidal-Zen) each have a private covered deck with outdoor furniture, from where one can sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The third studio (Stone-Zen) has a sheltered undercover verandah with views of stone zen garden.

Each studio comprises a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, a washbasin and a toilet; along with a semi-self-catering kitchenette with a bar fridge, a microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Each studio is equipped with a TV with a full selection of DStv channels and has a dressing room with a hairdryer and plush bathrobes for him and her.

Paradise Private offers parking and unlimited free Wi-Fi, as well as linen, bath towels and beach towels.

Upon arrival guests of studio Tidal-Zen & Nature-Zen will receive complimentary breakfast ingredients for their first morning; this includes yoghurt, muesli, rusks, fruit juice, water, tea and coffee. Chocolates, wine & sherry are also complimentary.

Studio Stone-Zen will receive complimentary chocolates, bottle of wine, sherry, water, coffee/tea, & rusks.

Guests are welcome to make use of the private boma and braai facilities, and free braai wood is provided. The beautiful Knysna-turaco may be spotted every now and then, and one may encounter sporadic visits from small monkeys. Paradise Private is the ideal base from which to explore the Garden Route and all it has to offer.

Knysna is surrounded by indigenous trees, mountains, dams and picturesque beaches. The town offers various activities and restaurants, as well as the Knysna Lagoon and the Knysna Waterfront.

The accommodation was different unlike anything else out there. It felt like living in a retreat high up on the mountain where you could enjoy peace and tranquility. The owners thought of everything when designing this place as all your needs and more were met.

What a wonderful experience! It truly feels like a little 'paradise' at the top of a neighborhood. The cottage is finely and optimally planned and every little thing has its place. Neat, clean and quite luxurious! The cottage also contains everything you could possibly need. Our hostess left us a bottle of wine, chocolate, soft drinks and milk in the cottage. Absolutely value for money! We stayed in the Stone cottage, but will definitely pay a little extra next time to enjoy the remarkable view from one of the other cottages.

Excellent location, close to the harbour. So much to view. Had a 5-hour day trip out mixing with locals. Went on a boat cruise. Let's be frank, that place rocks. A must-go for newlyweds. Family outings must be planned, but yes, I will see Knysna soon again. Where I stayed, the host was friendly with our 1st meetup. She gave us an overview of the place and of Knysna in general. The venue was 100% enjoyable, clean, well-positioned, and updated. Rating 10 out of 10.

Wow, what can I say, from the hosts Francois and Ellie, to the amazing studio, views and so so much more. I will be back. This was part of a weekend getaway for my hubby's 60th. He was blown away and the atmosphere created such a tranquil environment, I will recommend it to anyone wanting to get away to relax with the spectacular views of the lagoon all the way to Knysna Heads. An amazing stay and experience!

We had a great time, it's a well appointed, luxurious unit, unique as a solid log house. Ellie and Francois thought of everything! Down to the finest detail. We were in the smallest unit as all other units were booked. We would have preferred a larger unit as we stayed for 5 days. The bed in the unit was quite small, we would have preferred a more comfortable bed. Also possible a cleaning of the unit halfway through the stay. Furthermore, als was tip top and any requests were helped with immediately. We would definitely recommend a visit to the property for a special and unique stay experience.

Our time at Paradise Private was simply fantastic! Francois and Ellie welcomed us and made us feel very welcome immediately. The unit and facilities are amazingly beautiful, perfect, modern, unique, neat and clean. They had snacks, coffee, tea and milk available in the unit. Solar lamps, lights and candles for load shedding were also provided. We had a great stay, the whole premises/house is an absolute dream with its design, gardens, decor, location and views of the lagoon and heads. We'll be back for sure!

My wife and I went to Knysna for the first time over the April Easter weekend 2019 and we stayed at Paradise Private. We were completely blown away when we saw our room. The view over Knysna is surely one of the best there is and no photo can testify to that, it has to be experienced for yourself. The room and entire building is made of the most beautiful wood and gives off an incredible tranquility that makes you feel so part of nature with a zen that falls over you among the most beautiful bonsai displays around you. Furthermore, all the technological equipment you would need is at your disposal so the best of both worlds! Ellie and Francois are the best hosts we have ever had on holiday, friendly and warm people who go out of their way to make sure you are at ease, we just want to say thank you for an unforgettable holiday that just made it that much better was by Paradise Private, I would suggest it to anyone visiting beautiful Knysna.

"Truly something special!"

This place is truly unlike any of the other residences. Completely cut off from the noise and hustle and bustle in a neat green zen garden and little house that still smells of wood, where you can watch the town from above. We went to sleep with the city lights and woke up with the morning sun. We didn't want to pack up on the last day. The owners were so welcoming, and even took the rest of my family around the place the next day, just because they wanted to see what it looked like too. Because it is something to convey. Definitely a place to visit/stay on a Knysna holiday!
