Hanlie is a wonderful person who immediately makes you feel at home. What particularly stood out to us was the attention they pay to small details. Life sometimes takes surprising "tricky" turns. This was definitely one of them!
Sometimes you travel from one place to another and everyone is so basic that you just spend the night and forget about it. However, this unit felt like "home" with the host and hostess interested and helpful in making you comfortable. The DStv service is a further factor that makes the unit convenient. Many places have packages or channels that are impractical when you travel and that you don't use at home. We will return here.

We are very satisfied with the service we received at Paradyskloof. The owners are very friendly and immediately made us feel at home with the welcome. The unit was neatly laid out, spotless and you can see that effort has been put in especially with the wine glasses and cheese knife set which is a must given the area in which the unit is located. Even the preparation before our arrival impressed us with air conditioning that was already on on the day of arrival (39 degree day). It's an ideal unit for people who want to sleep comfortably while exploring the area or attending a function. Would recommend to anyone.

We had to spend the night at the Day Hospital in Stellenbosch after an operation because it was too late and risky to drive 220 km back home after discharge. Not only were we allowed to occupy the unit with our luggage before the official occupation time, the unit was already impeccably neat and clean, the hostess was sympathetic, friendly and accommodating and the unit is only 5 min. away from the hospital. On our return, after the operation, the hostess was extremely concerned without disrupting privacy or personal space. We will definitely use this accommodation again and also highly recommend it to our friends.

The room is newly redone and is clean with everything you can expect from an overnight stay. The host and wife are very pleasant and helpful. Being old, the tub was uncomfortable for me, but for a younger person it wouldn't have bothered me because the tub was partially enclosed by glass to accommodate a shower. This is not a complaint. The host gave permission for me to use the table in their house to work on my computer. When he noticed that my car had a flat wheel, he tried to replace the wheel with his back brace.
