Dina, the manager, is an angel from heaven. She is so friendly and took good care of us. We felt like honored guests. Friendly, neat, safe, peaceful atmosphere and very good value for your money. Yes, thank you, was located near Loftus, which was convenient. We were able to park our car and walk to Loftus.

Location is perfect. Trash in the bathroom was still full. Transparent curtain in the bathroom. No fan. They made an effort for a table in the room so I could work. Like the Englishman's "pay cheap, stay cheap".
Clean, tidy, spacious rooms.
The bedding is thin and washed out, stained. You couldn't even sleep on pillowcases. Bedding is too small for the bed. Wall plug is broken out of the wall. Found a black ball of hair half under the bed. Lights hang from the ceiling. Toilet paper was a half used roll. TV is not attached to the "TV brackets".
Dina and her husband were very hospitable and helpful. This is the perfect place if you need to attend something at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The guest house is walking distance from the stage and even in the evening after the concert it was safe to walk back.

The host was very friendly and helpful, especially with special requests as arranged in advance. The bathtub in the room is not level so when you shower and turn around it is a big noise. I would suggest that each room gets a remote for the gate, or more remotes are made available, as it is quite a frustration to move in and out if the host is not around to open. Other than that it was a very comfortable stay and would stay there again.

Comfortable accommodation walking distance from Loftus. The beds were neat and comfy with enough warm blankets. Leaky bath tub. Noisy fellow guests who only returned from the rugby at 01:00, disturbance. The owner should request that guests get back before 23:00 or 24:00 to consider other guests.

Friendly staff. Will definitely stay in the guest house again. Just a pity the coffee machine was not working because the water in the tea kettle was cold when I wanted to drink coffee.
We were put in a room against the living area where the fireplace was burning until late at night while we slept next to it! My husband went to find out why it was making such a noise and let them understand that it doesn't work like that! Staff do not work gently either, very disturbing!

I was impressed that the lady was ready to receive us and that she was aware of our reservation and she responded immediately and with absolute professionalism. The location of the guest house was ideal for everything we wanted to do and the breakfast was excellent value for money. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful!

My handbag with important documents, wallet, extra money for hospital co-payment, husband's wedding ring, etc. was stolen from my room from the single bed through the window ─ HUGE DAMAGE! Apparently happened to someone else before too, but no warning was given to us not to put anything close to windows. No safe available in the room. Difficult to blow dry hair, wall plug and mirror not conveniently located. Booked dinner for the second night, very tasty, but for the price I find it quite expensive.
It's the most cramped room I think and is a neglected room compared to one of the other rooms I've seen. My maid's room here at my house is much better than this room which is rented out at R800 per night. This is shocking. The room makes no ergonomic sense, and is certainly not suitable for more than a single, smoking man. The bed, wardrobe and door combo doesn't work at all. To get to the hanging closet, you have to close the bedroom door and then there is no space to move past the bed. The whole short time that we four people tried to move in that space was just a frustration! The room is not suitable for more than one person. We are not paupers who live on alms. I booked and paid good money for what I assumed was going to look like the picture and be suitable for 4 people. But I feel led around the bush. I was so disappointed and felt like a fool for choosing this accommodation for my husband and children and having to subject them to it. And on top of all this frustration, the room reeks of cigarette smoke. We all suffer from hay fever and the next morning we all woke up with blocked sinuses and bad headaches, so much so that we had to buy medicine for them. We checked out early in the morning after the first night's accommodation and did not stay there the second night. We had to drive through the streets of Pretoria and knock on doors to find suitable accommodation for the second night. We were not refunded by Park Gables for the 2nd night we did not stay. Morally and ethically it would be right for them to give us our money back, but I see no chance of arguing with someone who thought that you could cram a family of four into room 13 in the first place. The two ladies who were on duty late at night and early in the morning, as well as kitchen staff were beautiful and very friendly. No negative feelings about the staff we did come into contact with.
