The bedding had green spots and the parking space was not well laid out at all!
Staff all helpful and very friendly.
Bed was very uncomfortable. Sheet had a hole in it. Difficult parking. Bathroom neat.

Room 59 was underwater. Stuffy. Couldn't sleep there.

The hotel is for someone who likes an old antique boutique hotel. Not everyone's cup of tea. Pillows were not very clean. Shower was just creepy. Food was fantastic.

Quiet, can relax and the food was delicious.
We had to use three different rooms. Barely checked in when the toilet in the first room didn't work! Certainly the room had to be inspected before we checked in. At eight o'clock in the evening water is turned off in the town and the next morning water from the geyser is brown and full of dirt, just in our room! They open another room for us to use the shower with clean water but the water is barely lukewarm. At least the manager tried to help where he could.
The hotel is very centrally located, close to Clarens and other attractions.

Rooms are big and tidy. Did miss facilities to make own coffee and tea. The parking is inside, but very little space. Restaurant within the hotel is really great - very nice food and a good time. Thank you.

Location not good for restful sleep.
The hotel is situated in not one of the best parts of Bethlehem. It has no WiFi. The bedding is old and unappealing. The walls are very thin. The doors are to be slammed shut which happens throughout the night. Some guests are loud and this impacts on other guests in their rooms. Some guests smoke in their rooms which should be prevented at all times. The food and waiter service were excellent. Reception service was great. Parking is crammed and very difficult. One has to at times leave the car to ask reception to open the gate to enter the parking. No double plugs available in the rooms.
the bedding smelled very bad. the time for cleaning rooms were the time when we got back at 11:0 am after leaving earlier at 7am. the parking is really bad, there was not enough space to reverse. the reception was not very welcoming

It was very nice to stay there with safe parking. The reception, as well as all the other staff, are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent.
The room we initially got was not at all like it was on the website when we booked. However, the receptionist and manager met us and made another room available to us.
The only problem that my four technicians had were the showers did not work properly.
I have never been so excited for a hotel room in my life. From the hair in the bath, to the hair and food crumbs in the one bed, to the worm/larva that blissfully crawled over the sheet when I dared to lift the blanket to get into bed. In addition, two lights in the room were out of order and there was not even talk of coffee rates to swallow the nausea with. The room door wouldn't close properly and the man at reception was totally unsure of anything going on around him.

TV, kettle, coffee, tea in room are definitely needed. Inconvenient to walk down long stairs to coffee/tea machine in lobby early morning and evening after already wearing night clothes. Can upgrade rooms and bathrooms. Eat well.
Pleasant helpful staff. Rooms facing the road would be noisy, but hotel is convenient for a one night stopover.
The combination of screeching wooden floors (every time someone walks by or goes to the toilet), extremely loud visitors that nobody came to quiet down and a gate / door bell that kept ringing throughout the night (I guess for new people trying to come in or something) it was a terrible night with little to no sleep. We were four people in two different rooms and we will never stay here again. The breakfast at the restaurant was really good though, so at least one thing made our stay worth it.
Was the most unpleasant stay. At 11 o'clock in the evening guests are walking in the corridors and shouting from 1 room to the other place, isn't there a general rule that quiet time is after 10 at a hotel? At 2 o'clock in the morning there was an infernal noise and no one came to silence guests, on the contrary you fear for your life that they should not come and kick open your door. Got absolutely no sleep, they need a lot of work on security or getting someone to keep guests in check.
