Park House Lodge was great.
Even though we just slept there, I walked through the place and it looks incredible. I will definitely book there again, but this time for longer and thank you for the good service we received. The room was neat and everything was in place.

Very neat and homely. For sure one of the better backpacker stops I've been to. Tree-rich, nice space and different rooms where you can relax. The hostess accommodated us well and her service was very good. For sure a nice sleepover!

When we arrived, the room we booked was not yet available because it was double booked. We were then offered another room which wasn't too bad. We just slept there. The garden and footpaths need attention.
Although our booking and check-in went smoothly, this is not the type of stay I expected. I would describe Park House Lodge more as a "backpacker" facility than a "lodge". The room I stayed in is very minimalistic. The MacGuyver repairs to the bed were alarming and the mattress needs replacing instead.
Children could play without any worry. Kitchen needs attention.

Sufficient for 1 night's sleep, nothing more. Very steep stairs, no glasses in rooms or coffee facilities. It is a back-packers, but is not advertised as such on a laycr sleep.
I don't have any words to describe that place, it's very dirty and disgusting. You don't feel safe because of the environment. That place needs a huge renovation.

Noisy. Front door opening and closing all hours of the night. No bedside lamps.
This was the worst experience. WhatsApp interaction with host/receptionist. Communal toilets and kitchen. Very unhygienic, cheap cleaning products in the facility. Bedding did not seem 100%clean and didn't smell fresh. This is my hometown and this is not what our town should represent, I'm disgusted. This is for a single person or couple just moving through town and just needing a bed. No kettle, no fridge, just beds and cupboards. Sharing a bathroom/toilet with strangers and you need to wait to use the toilet for basic needs. No one took us around the property to show us around. This is not child friendly and the surrounding is very loud with a tennis court and people in the hallway, so no sleeping in at all. You able to hear when people are utilizing the toilet. This is not my idea of fun at all.
Nice and quiet place to stay. Would recommend that there will be a TV and cooler in rooms. Thank you.
Would not recommend Park House Lodge. Our room was so dirty, there were cobwebs and leaves everywhere, the bedding was even dirtier, we were so scared to sleep on it, luckily we had extra blankets that we could throw over the bed and sleep under. Not even to mention that our bed was broken. The bathroom which is shared between 4 rooms was so full of mosquitoes you had to spray Tabard even before you got out of the shower to avoid being bitten by the mosquitoes. Although the place has a strict policy against disruptive behavior, it was so noisy every night that it was difficult to sleep. This was easily the most unpleasant place we have ever stayed.
Family Room with shared bathroom, suggests that the family shares the bathroom, not with backpackers. Unit was only cleaned after several requests. Two bath towels for a family of 4. Upon request I was informed that they did not have enough. Place was overfull and stacked with tents in the garden. Upon booking a lodge I do not want to stay in a backpackers place. This place must be marketed as such.
Been a very noisy place with only one bathroom and toilet on the floor which is shared and was occupied 7 out of 10 times. Literally just a room with beds. Does not meet our usual requirement. Sorry.
