We were very skeptical about the house being so close to N1 and all the trucks passing by, but the sound is pretty much muffled. So it didn't bother. Furthermore, it was 37 degrees outside, but inside the house it was wonderfully cool that I even considered wearing something warmer. Thank you so much, we had a great night there.
The journey from Mbury to Bloemfontein is more bearable if you have a good rest in the Karoo.

The accommodation is directly next to the N1 with heavy lorry traffic all night, but the Pastorie is a comfortable and tidy place to overnight.
The place was cold and the noise of the big trucks was disturbing.
I only stopped to sleep over one night. The site is too close to the busy N1 with trucks passing by throughout the night (barely 80m from the place to sleep). I just got up at 04h00 and drove on.
It was a nightmare. The double bed was unusable. Then my wife slept on the single bed where she definitely got a bed bug. Still struggling with bites.

The cottage was comfortable and very clean. The air conditioner helped to ward off the winter cold and the mattress was great for sleeping. Everything we needed for a quick overnight stay was there.

The apartment is not luxurious, but everything is there so that you will survive a night in the Karoo. It is clean and very spacious and although the house is located right next to the N1, the traffic was not a problem. There is no WiFi or a TV, so you should bring a book or board games or be prepared to chat with each other, like in the old days.

Clean and safe with farm atmosphere.
Everything was excellent.
Neat accommodation in Leeu Gamka. Had a great time under the Karoo stars. Might think about an electric blanket in the winter, gets a bit cold there.
It was easy to get.
Real farm feel of atmosphere on arrival. Room and room are nice and big inside. Children can ride their bikes outside and play if they still have too much energy.
I think this is an absolutely ideal place to sleep especially for families!
Dirk welcomed us kindly after a long day on the road and made sure we were comfortable and safe throughout the evening. The fans were strong enough to keep us cool on a hot sailing night. We had a very nice stay.

Pastorie Huisie is a neat, clean place suitable for overnight stays for about 4 people. It is directly next to the N1 and light sleepers may be affected by the noise of trucks. Dirk is a wonderful host and has arranged everything perfectly, in terms of braai suits and wood for a nice Karoo braai under the starry sky. Please. warn new visitors about the mosquitoes, it was really quite bad and sufficient precautions must be taken otherwise the stay is not pleasant!

We were pleasantly surprised with what the parsonage house has to offer. We were warmly received and Dirk helped us without hesitation after we had trouble with our cart's wheel. We slept well, and it was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the farm around us and the rooster that woke us up.
The place was clean and tidy. It was just very hot inside, as there might have been mosquitoes if the windows were open. However, there were enough fans. It was very comfortable along the N1. I would definitely stay there again.
Need to give attention to smaller details like providing toilet paper and towels for guests.

Air rerailing could only work if loadshedding was not there. Unfortunately no power from 14:00 to 22:00. Mosquitoes very annoying but luckily took Mortein tin with me and closed doors and windows tightly before the sun went down and waged a successful war with the invaders. Thanks to kind Dirk for fire starters (dried tea bags in paraffin).
By comparison with several other establishments in similar dorpies, Pastorie Huisie was rather dilapidated.

Hospitable, caring, attention to detail that counts, such as welcome snacks, mosquito candles and fresh milk in the fridge. Moreover, the host escorted me from the highway to their driveway in the dead of night with a strong hunting light: I can't see well at night. Extraordinary.
Very good communication and friendly reception by Dirk. Unit is very neat and clean with all the basic facilities and implements needed. Lovely outdoor barbecue area and all the barbecue tools are provided. I grilled lamb chops under the Karoonag and drank red wine. The N1 traffic is quite noisy because the unit is right next to the N1, but for the convenience of being on the road quickly the next morning you can look past it.
Maybe you can do something more against the mosquitoes? We didn't have anything. Maybe offer something like Tabard.

Particularly well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable and neatly furnished. The host is welcoming and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
Only downsides are that it is very close to N1 and may bother light sleepers, as well as a slight shortage of power plugs.
