It was a blissfully peaceful weekend in the most beautiful scenery that the beautiful Cape winelands can offer. In the silence, one can hear the birds chattering and hear the rustling of the leaves of the large fig tree next to the porch. The only problem is that we couldn't stay 3 days longer.
We had a great stay and will definitely visit the place again. The Pine cottage is well equipped and nicely located for a weekend getaway.
The location was perfect for a quick breakaway.

The team at Pat Busch are all friendly and looked after us well. Unfortunately, the blue berry farm makes a lot of noise during the night, but it's certainly not always like that. The nature reserve is very beautiful and the hiking trails are great. We will come again for hiking and fishing.
The cottage was neat and as per the pictures. The fireplace inside the cottage really helped to heat us up when the sun went down. Not much criticism I can give except that the WiFi is really unstable and practically unusable. But that's also fine because it was nice to unplug and just take in our beautiful surroundings.
Close enough to the surrounding towns to really thoroughly explore the Robertson Wine Valley, but well hidden that one is only aware of the silence and peacefulness of nature. The Shop at Pat Busch is quite well stocked and all the most important supplies/items just in case you forgot something. Beautiful hiking trails, nice swimming pool and the natural beauty is breathtaking. A recommendation to Pat Busch's management: Consider establishing a "boutique" campground on the lawn/open space north of the hall and just west of the fishing pond. So ± 10 - 12 pitches maximum. You will be in high demand!
We stayed in the Nightjar unit and it was just perfect. Beautiful nature, the house was very clean and tidy and has everything you need and the WiFi is definitely a plus. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely go again but next time for a week.
An amazing place to stay and get away. Been there twice before, but this time did an 8k hike up the mountain and then back along the Karin Trail through amazing tropical forests. Also brought a SUP for the dam. Two nights is too short!
The hospitality of the manager, Johan, was excellent. He is particularly empathetic and accommodating. He makes your stay worthwhile.

We had a wonderful stay. Just the cottage was very hidden away. No sun on the stoep or inside. Very windy and cold at night. We could hardly speak to our families. The signal extremely poor. Me and my daughter loved the nature and the beautiful view. My grandson was, however, board. I suggest a TV in the cottages. The pool is too small though. Other than that we loved the peacefulness.
However, we were disappointed with the accommodation - Double bed was very uncomfortable and there was no place to put down luggage. It wasn't hot every morning - even if it wasn't loadshedding. The bathroom door handle kept falling out because the door opens to the outside and no warning was posted on it. Everything was done electronically - "checking in" and ordering additional wood is impersonal.
Our unit was clean and comfortable, the scenery is stunning and management was very helpful and kind. Would like to stay in an AfriCamps tent next time to be deeper into the mountain.

Just by us posting pictures we have loads of family members and friends enquiring about the reserve and ready to book their stay. The resort is a great getaway from the busyness and noise of city life. The reserve is peaceful with the sound of country air and the 360 degree picturesque views and more. We will definitely book again.

I would recommend this place for large groups. The venue is comfortable and the setting among the mountains is beautiful.
The farmhouse accommodated our large party very comfortably and we all had an amazing time. The managers need to know that the main fridge in the farmhouse is not working properly and cooling as it should.
Really loved the place but it lacked some personalization. Host checked in once but we had a power outage just after we arrived which we haven’t been informed about at all to prepare for. They had no candles or any alternative form of lighting either and with the wifi and signal down there was no way to reach anyone to arrange for it. We did the hike the next day but it was definitely not for beginners. Please note this if you do like hiking. Really stunning at the top but really difficult trail in the mountains so not for everyone. Also had some problems with the waterflow but we were warned about that in advance. Please note if you have a smaller car like a corsa or something the road in is okay but watch for rain as it might make it a little less okay. Its only about 2 km but just drive carefully. On a positive note: the place is stunning and clean. Lovely shower and bathtub and although the jacuzzi takes some time and wood, it is really phenomenal to use. Place was well kitted out for self catering and we did get some free amenities like wood that we really appreciated. We did feel quite safe and in our own little world which was great. Would’ve loved if someone could’ve shown us the property but given the circumstances i understand its not really possible. Loved the peace and quiet though.

I had not seen a hoopoe before and we had one right outside our door. It's a fantastic little area with incredible privacy and the fireplace was a welcome addition on the cold nights. WiFi only worked outside of fig cottage though.
Wine, wine and again wine. Breede Valley you old thorn! The WiFi at our cottage was weak (if such a thing would be important to someone).
We love the hot tubs and scenery. Well equipped. A sticky thing for the flies will be handy!
The receptionists and manager were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Oak Cottage and the place was perfect for our needs! Nothing short and nice, clean and neat. There were also very few visitors so it was wonderfully quiet. The weather was quite warm but it was cool inside the cottage without any fans or air conditioners needed. Also lovely shade parking for vehicle right next to the most beautiful big fig tree. From the porch there are also beautiful views of mountains and lawns where we saw beautiful birds, bucks and a ferret. Also a beautiful big tree in the front garden under which we could visit in the shade. Pool area was also beautiful, neat with enough shade and chairs around it and close enough to cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back.
It's lovely between the mountains, it doesn't feel like you're just outside Robertson. The men caught great fish and the view and braai facilities were fantastic.

We stayed in Oak Cottage for 2 nights, it was lovely. Barbecued every night, and fished throughout the day and explored some of the hiking trails, we also visited some of Robertson's wine farms. Everything was delicious, nothing fancy, just a nice break without a sound of a car or city noise. The bathroom could use some attention and we didn't have barbecue tools and could at least borrow from the neighbours. Furthermore, I would recommend it to anyone who needs rest!
Delightfully relaxed, but we had to search for hammock advertised. Walking route maps, with distances, were also not available.
We loved staying in the self catering cottage, it's secluded, beautiful nature surrounded by mountains, clean and the staff is friendly. There is a lovely dam surrounded with kayaks and a swimming pool. They offer breakfast baskets, the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely recommend it for a getaway from the city!

Our vacation at Pat Busch was very short, but all I can say is "WOW"! Pat Busch exceeded all our expectations. It's a beautiful place. There are nice hiking trails and also a pond with boats where you can fish. Our cottage was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. We really can't fault anything. The manager, Jaco, was always available (via whatsapp) if we needed anything. It's the best accommodation we've ever had in Robertson. We can't wait to go back again!

Our stay was wonderful. Als was perfect, except that the shower needs attention. The water coming out of the shower was very weak and cold, which made us have to bathe for an alternative.
Bathroom is very old and not up to standard, and the bunker beads are unstable. The bed in the room also did not have a feather duvet as specified on the website. The rest of the resort is very neat, will go back in the future, but not to the standard cottages.
Landhouse Erica is perfect for a group like we had (11 persons).
Will definitely recommend it to anyone and I will also go again myself!
Pat Busch is within easy hitting distance of the peninsula for a weekend getaway and as a weekend getaway it ticked all the boxes for us. A well-equipped little house with, among other things, a large teapot, nice big mugs, a decently sharp knife and a vegetable peeler, and a comfortable seating area inside and a sheltered outside patio and beautiful walking trails. We walked the Middelrug route and will definitely come back to do some of the other routes as well.
Everything was very pleasant. I just think the crockery can be better quality. Some of the plates are chipped and cracked. The mattresses can also be replaced.
Lovely relaxed, take a deep and free breath place with a really beautiful location. Really enjoyed it and will visit again. Next time just for a longer period of doing nothing but walking, reading, swimming and of course barbecuing. It's simple decor and rustic.

Was pleasantly surprised with the environment and the cleanliness of the place. Wood and fire lighters are a good idea along with the ice in the freezer. Only take your own dishwashing detergent. Great playground for children while parents enjoy nature. Walking routes, and central to surrounding villages such as Ashton, Montagu, McGregor etc.

It's a wonderful place. There is no cell phone signal and you can hear all the animals clearly. Definitely a place where you can be private. Plus you can order all your meat from them and it's some of the tastiest beef I've ever tasted. Their 'burgers' and biltong are my favourite. Fantastic.
We went for a walk and it was breathtaking. The mountains and the rainforest were all worth it.
It was beautiful on the farm, but if you want privacy, we would not recommend it. We stayed in Fig cottage and you can hear every word your neighbour said. The cottages are very close to each other. Very clean and neat though and we can recommend their beef sausage.
