52 guests' feedbackWe had a very nice break at Peak View Cottage. Ann and Anthony are very friendly, accommodating and hospitable, and there is a lot of attention to detail within the lovely cottage, e.g. paper towel, hand soap in the bathroom, enough blankets, towels and toilet paper, and your wood for the log fire is replenished every day. Our dog was also very welcome and played nicely with the owners' dogs and we had a nice walk with her around the premises. Peak View Cottage is very well located, within 10 minutes of many places to eat and do.
Very nice stay! Peaceful atmosphere, comfortable accommodation and very helpful friendly hosts! Wonderful walking trails through the pine plantations to the river and beautiful view of the mountain. We will definitely go there again.

Ann went out of her way from the start to provide us with possible routes to Peak View for maximum sightseeing! Restaurants highlighted, but we made a braai at our cottage and enjoyed the beautiful Drakensberg at sunset. We also did a scenic route to get very close to the mountain where we could take pictures. The cottage itself is comfortable with a lovely fireplace which we definitely took advantage of. Anthony and Ann, thank you very much for letting us spend the afternoon and evening at your beautiful place. We wish you many more guests!
Great stay. Friendly reception by owners and very good communication by Ann. Made good use of fireplace during a few cold days and especially the boards available at their sawmills were very welcome. We took our dog children along and they enjoyed it so much. Place is fantastically furnished and the lush green lawn right around the cottage felt like "home". Place's location is perfect and we were able to get to many places quickly. Big bonus is the view over the Drakensberg. Unbelievable. Friendly hostess and thanks to her we were able to see Drakensberg Boys' Choir's performance. We come again.

The accommodation is neat and comfortable with the most serene views – the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hosts were warm and accommodating and they put every effort into enhancing your experience. We appreciated the list provided of places to visit in the area, as well as other useful information. We really enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely visit again.
Welcome refreshments are provided. The accommodation is arranged within a few hours. Reception was warm and personal. We would recommend it anytime. Many thanks for Anthony's effort to take us on a tour of their sawmill. Ann - you guys are great!!

A cozy and well-equipped cottage. Ann is a very pleasant and approachable host and likes to make sure her visitors are satisfied all through the stay there. You can expect a check up message every day to make sure all is in order. The location is brilliant with an amazing view of the berg. Peak View Cottage is also pet friendly so we took our dog with us and there are plenty space on the premises to take your dog for a walk and enjoy some scenery. The Jetmaster fireplace in the cottage was a lifesaver on the cold nights! I will certainly recommend Peak View Cottage to anyone who wishes to visit the Drakensberg area.

Ann is a excellent host, who has taken care of all the minute details. Power failure, fire woods for harsh winter, USB ports, good guidance maps. You name the problem and and Ann has got it covered. The views are spectacular and the proximity of the cottage is near to all the activities in the vicinity. Great place to be at. Well done Ann.

Peak View Cottage not only offers overnight facilities for tourists on their way to their destinations but is itself a destination where one can call home for a while. It is highly recommended due to the reasonable rate, its location and security. The owners themselves live on site and are available 24/7 if any help is needed. The residential unit is fully equipped with everything that is needed. We were welcomed with free coffee, tea, a bottle of milk, bottles of purified water in the fridge, a coffee flask in case we wanted to go for day trips. A complete DStv package is presented on the TV and the residence is fenced with floodlights and electrical wiring to ensure our safety. We would like to use this small but comfortable place to stay again in the future.
Very friendly lady, instantly likeable and her three dogs. Well-equipped, spacious cottage. It would suit us for a long holiday too. Very much in the centre of the valley. You could go up and down to the historical sites. Well priced for the opposition and amenities. Full DStv to relax by. Wish we could have stayed longer.
We impulsively decided to break away before work started. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived with fruit juice and water. With a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains and everything you need to rest. We could go for a walk in their plantations and we were easily directed to all the best places. The dogs were our little girl's best friends and we could go swimming or come and go at any time. The house was nice and spacious for a family of four and the porch ideal for barbecuing and eating.
We enjoyed our stay at Peak View Cottage. Quiet, tranquil location, exactly what we were looking for. Ann is an excellent host, communicating throughout, also afterwards, with many thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, juice, mineral water, biscuits, salt-and-pepper, firewood, matches and firelighters, hairdryer, fan and heater. We will visit again.
We had a great stay. The place is spacious and comfortable. It is a bit old and need a renovation. But difficult to beat for the price.
