Look, usually this chick is the one who prefers the cozy wooden cabin away from any human sapien species with their gym attitude but after my weekend I realized that I needed this luxury at this particular time of my life because I sure 20 years ago I was on holiday and I really love to sleep in and sleep well, to be able to lie for hours in that nice bath full of foam with a glass of gin and a favorite chocolate because I can and nothing bothers me no, because the rat race makes one crazy, to fall down on an incredible "nice sleeping bed" and just keep lying as if you're going to get up tomorrow morning with a load of chatter, to braai and hear the neighbors laugh and invite me over, because today's people don't laugh anymore and don't give a damn, to walk around all weekend in every possible direction I could to collect the most beautiful memories in my heart and to bring back a bag full, and to shake bums, to be able to share all my lost good and bad thoughts with God for hours i to be able to experience a silence on the most beautiful beach and my own fantasy between sand, rock, fishermen, aunties with their dogs who curiously start chatting "giggle giggle giggle", and to walk through the houses of the beautiful area, barefoot, full sand and ice cold while a group of stinking fishermen wave me and call and invite me over for a cold beer while they pack that stinky blerrire bait in bags next to a warm fire and our bunch of funny toes in patches and fisherman's jerseys for their trip and to know I'm never going to see them again! Oh and I can't forget about Saturday afternoon while my friends are still sleeping from my adventure! I packed my backpack and took sneakers and road, walked, down, left and so on to Pizza Shack where I stick myself for slap-chips and a stray chicken strip or 6 when a quick cute drawer walks by, my chicken strip gapes and says it's nice and starts chatting as if we've known each other for years. Well this weekend. I lived my own movie and still look at all my pics!

The cottage is neat, clean and well equipped. It had everything we needed. The fact that the beach is about 2 minutes walk from the house is definitely a plus. The rumble of the sea that one can clearly hear made us relax extra. We would definitely recommend this lovely place if you just want to relax. We will go there again and again.

Few steps to the very beautiful beach. Safe and very well appointed. Everything you need is there. Full DStv a big bonus. Will definitely do it again. My children aged 6 and 8 really enjoyed it, especially with the other activities (20 min drive) such as Uilenkraakmond's putt-putt and The Black Oystercatcher's swimming pool while we enjoyed our meal.

Pearly Beach Cottage is the perfect place if you just need to get away from it all. The house has everything you need. Close enough to the beach so you hear the breakers. There's a shop walking distance from the house and it literally stocks everything, food, clothes, even hardware. Lovely beaches, you just want to walk and walk until you run out of breath. We will definitely be back and we'll also recommen it.

The house is very well equipped. The washing machine helped a lot. The photo of the house made me think that it has a sea view, which is not the case. However, it is very close to the ocean. Guests should note that there is no decent restaurant nearby and that purchases must be made in Gansbaai, the nearest town, as the shop at the resort closes at 18:00. The shop at the resort is very well-equipped, except that no beer or other liquor except wine is available in the area. For this reason you will have to drive to Gansbaai (40 km back and forth). This is the reason for the location rating that I gave. My husband enjoyed the DStv with a good variety of channels.
