Due to the weather, we did not venture out, but that was not a problem as it was intended to be a totally relaxing weekend. Would want to go back again during the warmer seasons, with an extended stay The store was close by when we needed a few supplies. I will gladly recommend Pearly Gates as a perfect quiet getaway when you need to escape the City rat race. Definitely a 5-star rating.

A lovely little place which is really close to the beach. We loved the whole resort and the communal atmosphere.
The house is well equipped, warm and cosy. Everyone's very friendly in the resort, it's very quiet and tranquil.

We made ourselves at home in the small but beautiful house. Our Explora could not pick up due to wrong eye on dish. Carla arranges a replacement and within hours we are up and running. We were kept informed throughout of restaurants, places to hang out and even when load shedding was going to kick in. No drama with differences on inventory, maybe you just have to put the right name on the item. To be even better, I suggest, open the holes in the shower head and reattach one of the aluminum supports of the shower door with pop rivet - looks like it's loose. Thanks also for uncle Hennie's help from across the road. I have known him since 1978.
The resort is lovely especially if you have small children. House is neat and clean. Service was great, thank you!

Very neat and clean house equipped with everything one could need. The cottage is very close to the sea and situated in a secure gated area which is closed at night. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely break by the sea.

The owner was extremely accommodating. We unfortunately could only arrive after the booking in times and it was no problem. Arrangements were made and we are truly grateful. The place itself was above any expectation we had. It was clean, cosy, peaceful, had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend anyone to stay there.

Carla (owner) welcomed us warmly and showed us restaurants and activities in Pearly Beach! This house is very neat with everything you might need for a weekend getaway of even a holiday (washing machine and tumble drier). The inside braai is a plus in winter, lovely warm fire after the braai. The house is in the resort, but all other house are very neat, groomed gardens and there are friendly people everywhere. We recommend this place and will definitely visit again in the future.

Pearly Gates is by far the most comfortable cottage we have ever rented in the resort. Everything perfect and neat. We were hospitably received by Carla. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Pearly Gates is tidy, with everything you need for a peaceful visit to Pearly Beach. Reception was friendly and there was enough play space for our daughter to run around the house but still be safe. We will stay here again!

I was at Pearly Gates between 28 and 30 October 2016. It was absolutely fantastic. Just what my husband and I needed, wanted and got. A beautiful, quiet resort, beautiful long white beach and the accommodation is so neat and well equipped. The owners go were exceptionally friendly and gave such quick feedback. I can highly recommend Pearly Gates and would go back anytime!

Beautiful, cozy and tidy place. Well equipped and ideally located within walking distance of the resort shop and beach. Very nice stay! A refundable breakage deposit of R500 is payable directly to the establishment.Check-in/check-out details
House rules
-A R 500-00 key deposit is payable by cash on arrival.
-Guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.
-Supplies are limited in Pearly Beach so stock up in Hermanus or Gansbaai.
-All guests, family and friends are welcome, but should leave the premises at 22:00 unless prior arrangements have been made.
-Cleaning of the unit on departure is included but we do encourage tipping the cleaning lady.
-Should you require a cleaning service during your stay there is an additional charge of R 150.00 per service.
-Should your booking exceed 7 nights, we off 1 cleaning service free of charge which includes clean linen, towels and wash cloths.
-Guests would need to lodge a R100-00 disk deposit at the gate entrance as to allow for entry in and out of the resort.
- Children aged between 0 and 1 stay free.
- Children aged between 2 and 2 pay 50% of the sliding scale rate.
