TV in one of the rooms did not work and the door had difficulty opening and closing but this was not reported as the stay was short. Certain finishes have been neglected and the walls need attention and paint, especially in the bathroom. Nevertheless, everything one needs for a quick sleepover.

Unit was great, room was very dusty. WiFi only worked in certain parts of the room, not a great connection.
We went home in unit 1. Unit was clean and tidy with a fenced in lawn for our two dogs who came along. Really appreciated the extra effort with the single bed that was put extra in the room for our little girl. Here and there there are things that need attention, but nothing that negatively affected our stay. The guest house is close to a large shopping center and there is ample parking on site. It is also very easy to get to the guest house from the N1.
No one was prepared and received us.
We arrived within the times allowed for arrival / check-in. However, there was no one at reception and a worker who was on his way home. We sat in front of the guest house and waited until I contacted the available contact number, after which the worker came back very indignantly and said she was not paid overtime for this. At least we received the keys after other guests had used our toilet before we could enter. The toilet in the bathroom leaks a lot of water and seems to be an old problem because the plastic tray at the back under the toilet pipe was already full. The floor was slippery and full of water. Furthermore, the unit was tidy. When we wanted to leave the next morning, there was once again no one in sight to help. There are also no facilities to safely store keys (such as a mailbox or locker) when you want to leave. Customer service not up to par.
We stayed in room 1. There was only one towel. No soap. Only coffee for one person and no milk. The shower was very dirty and the drain plate was broken. The carpet is full of stains. Someone else took our parking. We then got parking space number 2, but when we came back from the shop, the parking space was also taken. We had to walk further with our luggage. The gate's car was turned off, and we couldn't leave the premises in the morning. The hostess struggled to get the gate open. I would not recommend the place.
No place was not up to standard. Door cannot wear (silicone). Plague of cockroaches in both units. No drying towels in the kitchen. Place appears murky.

The pool was very welcome after the long day on the road. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, but the air conditioning dripped water into the room onto the carpet, causing a noise. The noise was muffled with a small bucket and washcloth in it.

Although unit 5 met our overnight needs, the kitchen equipment is very basic, but we could do with what was there. However, would suggest further equipping the unit with the following basic items: dish towel, bread plate, egg spatula, a smaller pan that fits on the stove (or a larger stove). The owner must look at the shower head — don't know if it's just clogged, but it's not working optimally. Furthermore, the owner must pay attention to running a power cable to the bedside lamp. Although there is a bedside lamp available, there is no power available. We would also recommend swapping the designated parking spaces for units 3 and 5 so that unit 5's parking is directly in front of the unit.

Although the location was GREAT, the room was really not very clean. The small carpets need to be replace or rather just take them out completely. Very dirty and wearnout. Fridge was dirty.
R850 for 4 people is cheap, so good value for the cost. No load shedding in SA is also a bonus. But a few things that can be worked on: Towels for 4 guests and not just 2 of the 4. Towel rails that work in the bathroom. Better lighting in the main room and bathroom. Electric connection in bedroom short work. Mirror in bedroom not mounted. Nothing that can't be fixed relatively easily and cheaply.
Close to Rosepark Hospital to visit family if you come from afar.
We were travelling with a pet for the first time and so were fairly limited to pet-friendly venues.
After the owners already told me at 5pm that I was going to check in at 7pm and I called again at their request 10 minutes before I would be there to confirm the time, I waited 50 minutes for them to arrive! Extremely poor service, if the time of my check-in was confirmed 2 times, at least someone should have been waiting there to receive me at that time! Blinds are broken, so pedestrians from the street could look into my unit! Tile grout in shower is full of mould, makes you cringe. Only coffee in kitchen, no tea bags. WiFi was very weak. No info given about load shedding times. Refrigerator keeps you up all night!
When we stayed the second time at this accommodation we got the worse room. It was totally a different experience than the first time. We paid the same amount of money but ended up staying at the backdoor of the premises. All the bathroom fittings were not properly attached to the wall. All were loose. The carpets in the bathroom were dirty. Staying in a 3-star graded accommodation one has certain expectations. Not even the crockery was of the same kind - looked like odd ones in the cupboard. We had to move the bed to get to the plugs to be able to use the hairdryer. The chairs were covered with ugly towels. The lampshades next to the bed were in very bad shape. The attendant's youngster was all over our room. Entering whenever she likes. My question is: why is the standard of all the rooms not the same? The first room, no 2, was very good, that's why we booked for the second time again. We paid the same price! I will never stay there again. I wonder how could the TGCSA give them the 3-star rating they have!

Our reception at Pebble Fountain Guesthouse was very friendly - our room was immediately available and we could unpack peacefully. The table and chairs outside in the garden are a lovely idea for hanging out outside - and the pool and lapa will come in handy in the summer. The rooms, bathrooms and bedding were clean and tidy, and everything we needed was available. It is definitely value for money and we will use Pebble Fountain Guesthouse again.

The interview can certainly attract attention and leak the roof.
We got there late in the evening and only then found out there was no water. Would like to be notified ahead of time. . Owner also arranged a truck for water but it never happened. We couldn't shower or bathe! Could get water from pool to flush toilet. The water problem was not the owner's fault, but would have liked to have been notified earlier!
Good overnight stay.
Sufficient sleeping space for 2 adults and 2 small children. Our unit had a private garden for our dog which was very convenient. Poor lighting in the unit. Bath's cold and hot taps have been swapped. Only 1 soda glass and too few plates for a family. No dishes or drying cloths for washing dishes. No card facilities.
The noise from the busy street was quite a problem and the neighbours' blaring music. Otherwise a friendly owner and helpful assistant. Area is an old neighborhood and everything you would need is at hand. Rooms may just need a little more power points!
Place no longer looks like in the photos. Needs maintenance and/or renovation. I'd rather try another place next time.
There were no coffees and sugar in the house. We had to buy our own. The pool was dirty. We requested for it to be cleaned for Sunday morning as we wanted to chill in the pool but we still found it dirty. We were rudely told by the lady in the guest house that we have to clean, she doesn't like dirty people. On our departure, I received a call from the owner that we broke a curtain rail although we did not. She did an inspection on our departure but she didn't show us the inspection when we checked in. She asked us why we didn't inform her if the curtain rail was broken. I don't think we went to Bloemfontein to report on broken curtain rails. There were a lot of things that were not satisfactory about the room but we didn't report any of them, we concentrated on the pool as we could not swim in a dirty pool. There were only 2 toilet papers for 4 people. Our room was not serviced on any day of our stay.

The room is beautiful, large and warm. Eunice was a superstar and very helpful. The sliding door needs some attention as it doesn't open and close with ease. A little milk for our coffee would've made all the difference after a long journey and the WiFi was not really available in our room. Comfortable stay overall. Thank you very much.

The air conditioner's filters need a thorough cleaning. The shower head in unit 5 can be replaced.
On arrival, there were ants in the kitchen drawer because of something sticky. Also, a lack of plugs to charge cell phones etc.
The sink still had the previous guest's mouth spit after brushing teeth. The bin was still full of the previous guests' rubbish and started to smell. So just from the above it is clear that no Covid rules were followed in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Was too tired to report this first, so thankful I can pass it on this platform.
Maintenance can definitely be done. Refrigerator was dirty inside as well as previous people's things still inside. Would have been nice to be able to swim but the pool was a bit green. Only half a roll of toilet paper, no other toilet paper. No bag in kitchen trash. Cupboard doors hang askew and are loose. Struggling to understand the extra amount for our dogs because no preparation was done for them and it puts you in a more expensive price range.

The room was very well equipped and very clean. There is a pool in the garden with some chairs and tables for outdoor eating which was pleasant. There is no-one on site except for an unsmiling domestic helper who opened the gate for me when I arrived and took the key from me when I left. That part of the stay was the most unsatisfactory - I would have preferred a little information about what was in the vicinity and a warmer welcome as a guest. Otherwise, there is a Pick 'n Pay hyper a few minutes walk from the lodge so very convenient for food and drink supplies.

The sofa bed is really not suitable for sleeping, the mattress is too thin and with a steel pipe running through the middle. We were a family of 3 in a self-catering unit but only got 2 cups and 2 plates. No cleaning service was done.

Als looked neat until the cockroaches started running over the kitchen counter, we thought maybe it was just one, but the later the time got the more came out. We grilled ourselves to death and had so much trouble sleeping because the counter is right next to the bed. If it hadn't been raining so hard, we would have just driven there and then, at three o'clock when it stopped raining, we fell in the road. I wouldn't recommend it at all and can't believe the website advertises such places. The lighting is so bad, couldn't even take out my contact lenses, there was no hand towel in the bathroom, and no hand soap. The sofa bed is rock hard and not made for sleeping at all. I moved the couch against the bed on the far side away from the counter so my 5 year old could sleep on the soft end of the crib. I took some pictures of the cockroaches and sure enough they will find some dead ones on the counter and on the wall. Not batted an eye!
Pebble Fountain is definitely my first choice for overnight accommodation in Bloemfontein in the future. Safe with adequate parking and well located close to the N1 and other facilities.

It was really special that our dog could accompany us so easily everywhere we went. There was a gate to keep the dog away from the other guests and yet still there was enough grass for her to romp around on. It was also very spacious and comfortable accommodation!

We were surprised by the spacious apartment and the exquisite finish. A beautiful place that will be my first choice if I have to sleep in Bloemfontein again. Just a pity the DStv stopped working halfway through the weekend, but it didn't bother too much. "A home away from home!"
