Had an absolute ball of a time. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Would recommend to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Views for days!
The house was very comfortable, with amazing views and lovely walks. The fireplace was very welcome - the weather wasn't quite what we were expecting in mid-February and the evenings were misty and cool: perfect for sitting in front of the fire with a good glass of red wine. We were welcomed by the friendly resident dogs and were well looked after by Trust and Finance. I would heartily recommend Penfield to anyone visiting the Nottingham Road area.

Tremendous views and incredibly beautiful in general. Very comfortable and I would recommend it as well as stay again. I would just say that the kitchen is missing a few key items. We did have to ask for the gas to be switched on in order to cook. The WiFi didn't work, and although the dogs are really nice, I did have to ask to fetch Max the Boerboel as he was a little overexcited and wanted to jump on us when we sat down. If you aren't a dog lover, then this isn't ideal, but as I say, I would definitely go back as it is a very unique place.

It was nice. They need to add a microwave and also clean the swimming pool. Other than that, great place.
A very beautiful, stunning, and relaxing place. The host Joni was very caring and kind and always made sure we were comfortable.
Penfield is such a beautiful home, with amazing views and gorgeous finishes to the house. So Private and peaceful, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating whenever we needed anything. We travelled in a polo so the road leading to the house was a bit tough an SUV/bakkie will probably be preferable next time. Other than that, I loved everything about it.
Just a few things needed in the kitchen such as wine glasses and a bottle opener. Was a lovely break, loved the welcome note and the animals.
On arrival we were bowled over by two big dogs. They were friendly but we landed up having to hide inside to avoid them. Owners were away and their dogs seemed lonely. On request the male got locked up but that was not entirely fair on him. The interior was lacking. No bin bags or wash up utensils provided. Cutlery was limited. Beautiful location.
