The second bedroom contains a double bed, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a toilet. The last 2 bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds each, and share the use of a bathroom with a bath, and a toilet.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. Guests can relax in the lounge which has a cosy fireplace, and Wi-Fi is available.
The house opens onto a stoep and guests can watch the penguins, and in season, the whales visiting the bay. Trained and well-behaved pets are welcome with prior arrangement.

We were all very pleasantly surprised by how amazing the house's location is. The views from the veranda are breathtaking and very special to be so close to the penguins!
Absolutely beautiful house in a fabulous position. And a surprise of table tennis too. Loved seeing the penguins all around. Enjoyed the bikes too but bring a pump!
Beautiful house with amazing views. The house had everything we needed. The penguins in the backyard were a treasure. Lots of little touches that were really appreciated. Would definitely go back.

Not very private with everyone coming to view the penguins and overlooking the house, so sitting outside to enjoy the view is not an option, also some people just enter the property to view the penguins. The blue couch and carpet in the living room are disgusting. Roof in the one bathroom is leaking when raining. Otherwise, the house is very beautiful and we enjoyed the view early mornings and late evenings. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. Main beach is a bit far if you have to travel with little ones.

Penguin House is located within the conservation area with the very best view of the bay. The penguins are everywhere in the garden and can make quite a few penguin noises, day and night! For us it was a festival but for people who are looking for absolute silence it might bother them. The house is very well furnished, clean and tidy with everything you need. The WiFi is very slow but it didn't bother us. We were there for rest and the penguins and cormorants provided hours of viewing pleasure. The house is for families who like to do things together. There are lots of games, table tennis and even bicycles! It was absolutely worth it. The fireplace was a bonus. Can't wait to visit again.
The house is lovely - very practical and homely. Of course my favourite part was the fact that the back garden was filled with penguins - incredibly special. A word of warning though - they can get a bit noisy at night so if nature and animals are not your 'thing' then this special blessing may not be for you. There are stern warnings of crime in the area which were a bit daunting - in the same breath I felt quite safe and felt that the warnings were more to create awareness.

House rules
A 50% deposit of the rental fee is required upon reservation of the property, with the remaining balance due two days prior to arrival, payable into the designated bank account.Payment of the deposit will be considered acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, thereby securing the reservation.
Upon arrival, the guest and their invitees are expected to carefully review the Special Instructions provided. The guest is responsible for the conduct of their invitees throughout the rental period and must ensure that the property is used with care, respect, and in compliance with the rules outlined in the Special Instructions.
The maximum occupancy of each house is limited to the specified number of guests.
Any loss or damage to the owner’s property—including the inverter, linen, fixtures, fittings, equipment, or other items—will be assessed solely by Be in Betty's Bay, and the guest will be required to pay for such damages upon demand. Guests must notify Be in Betty's Bay of any losses or damages before departure.
Children must be supervised at all times when using the swimming pool, wooden hot tub, or jacuzzi.
If, for reasons beyond the control of the owner or Be in Betty's Bay, the property becomes unfit for occupancy during the rental period, the guest will receive a refund limited to the period of unavailability. No further compensation will be provided.
The owner and Be in Betty's Bay reserve the right to cancel the booking at any time, before or during the rental period, if the guest or their invitees behave inappropriately or cause a disturbance, at the sole discretion of the owner or Be in Betty's Bay.
Guests must observe the local quiet hours, which begin at 22:00.
