23 guests' feedbackDit was baie lekker, loved the location with the mountains, and also the nice pool. Not our first time booking in at Penrose Cottage but the first time we received such service, thanks to the owners who made us feel at home and allowed us to still wait for our drivers after 10.
During our short stay, we were unpleasantly surprised to find geckos and their droppings in the unclean kitchen sink. Adding to our discomfort, the blanket was heavily soiled with dog or cat hair. However, was very accommodating. I would recommend that she puts more effort into maintaining this cottage.
I'm definitely going back. The peace, the beauty, the location, the greatness. Who can complain about it?

Enjoyed our stay, tranquil environment. However, the shower was a little wonky.
My friend and I will recommend Penrose Cottage to anyone. The host is so friendly. Would suggest that the shower drain be looked at as the water drained very slowly, other than that, the place is very nice. I would return anytime again.
The cottage is nicely furnished, however we could see that there had been no other guests for a long time. It also appeared as if the hostess forgot about our reservation and had to contact LekkeSlaap because we couldn't get hold of her. However, Penrose Cottage could pay attention to the following: "Bar fridge" placed on a table, it's a bit uncomfortable to bend on your knees all the time. Place the two plate stove on another surface for balancing. A TV would also be a great asset. The alarms with stickers indicate which button works for which purpose. The bed was comfortable and very cuddly and warm against the cold Cape evenings. The WiFi reception was excellent. Penrose also has a beautiful garden and the most beautiful view of the sea from the street.
My girlfriend and I had such a great weekend, it was so peaceful, so lovely, the people of the house didn't even bother us but what a nice person when meeting him the 1st evening, just a stunning place and everything is near to you, I definitely will go again.
My friends celebrated their wedding anniversary. They were kindly received. The location of the place is fantastic. They enjoyed the stay and everything was good.

The room was clean and well-stocked. The only thing I would mention is that the shower was a bit "quirky" as the hot water would randomly stop and then come out super hot after a few moments. I'm sure the owners will attend to this in due course!

The cottage need an upgrade. Had to clean the spider webs inside which was very bothering. Ideal for a night stay or tourist that want to explore and hike. Wi-Fi was not working and there is no TV. Garden is very beautiful though and the pool was nice. Seems like a place not to be during the day.
Totally enjoyed my stay with my partner and kids, was really relaxing and beautiful view.
Proper cleaning and a coat of paint inside can help a lot.
We had a very nice stay, Tracy was very welcoming and we immediately felt like we were home.
Quick one night stop over before flying back to Johannesburg. This is ideal if you want to do either Fish Hoek or Zandvlei Parkruns. Both are within short travelling distance.
The cottage is comfortable with a giant bed and well equipped for self-catering. A microwave might be a good idea in time although there might not be room in the kitchenette. It is within walking distance of almost everything in the business center of Muizenberg. Traffic on Boyes Road throughout the day can sometimes make it difficult to get out of the garage, but the unit itself is quiet despite the busy traffic.
Its a nice room. Everything that you need is there. The people are very kind and helpfull. Thank you for a nice stay.
We stayed 1 night, it was a last minute booking. The room was worth it, could do with a television and DStv or, if not a TV, better WiFi. Some renovation needed and a better bed. We wouldn't be able to stay more than 2 nights at the venue, the bed wasn't very comfortable, seemed very old and worn out.
It is ideal for business in the Southern suburbs.
Well organised and a place to visit again.
