We only stayed 1 night, but had a really nice stay in the guest house. We will definitely come again. The reception was very friendly and hospitable, the rooms were nice and clean, and the whole guest house has a peaceful atmosphere. The site is nice and big and you can even braai and swim too. Unfortunately we didn't have time for that. We also really liked the rooms which were each separate with their own entrance and privacy. Thank you for a nice stay.

The receptionist is such a lovely, bubbly person. She loves her job and went out of her way to accommodate us. Some of the guests were a bit noisy until the early hours of the morning - maybe noise restrictions should be put in place. Other than that, we would definitely stay there again.
Not at all as advertised. The place does not look like the pictures. The braai facilities (near our room) were in a small corner next to an empty swimming pool. The place is neglected outside. The rooms are indeed neat and clean, but the toilet does not flush as it should. We had to physically rinse him with a bucket all the time. The TV and the WiFi do not work. After we reported it, still nothing was done about it. The shuttle service that can be "arranged" is really just a guy driving around in a car like a taxi. It was expensive in the end and you have to negotiate the price and time with him yourself.
The photos are misleading. Place needs a lot of renovation work on the buildings and exterior of the place. Rooms were clean, but outside it is very dirty.
Should have advised us that they are doing renovations, we booked a room with a shower as my wife battles walking and we were booked down at the bottom. It was a battle to walk far from reception. Had to phone at arrival as there was no one at reception.
It's not at all what we saw in the photos.
Had a wonderful stay, and very happy that we could take our Maine Coon with us.

The place is clean and I was very well received. But I went out that night and when I got to the guesthouse at about 11:00 the power was off. There were no emergency lights I had to go to my room in the dark. I did not even see the guard who had to keep watch over my car to be parked in the street. My room was just so dark. I would suggest that they buy a generator or do something to at least just get light on the premises.
From the time we arrived, the service was friendly and professional. Rooms were neat, large and clean. Would definitely recommend Pensão.
The accommodation was definitely worth it. We were two families with teenagers and it completely met our requirements. Many thanks for the helpfulness when we didn't have our own charcoal there. Definitely value for money.

The accommodation was good! We only had problems with the bed, it was old and not up to standard at all! Slept very uncomfortably. It was disappointing that restaurant was not open. Thank you.

Ons moes baie lank wag by ontvangs, daar was niemand nie. Ons het betaal vir die beste kamer, maar daar was 'n reuk dat ons nie daar kon slaap nie. Weet nie of dit die grasdak was nie. Toegang ook na die kamer was baie ongemaklik. Ons het later gevra om liewer na 'n ander kamer geskuif te word.
Breakfast is not available on weekends, this is not mentioned on the website. We stayed comfortably however there was no electricity when we woke up the next day. There was no explanation from the establishment or apology for any inconvenience. Because there was no lighting in the room we delayed with packing our luggage and therefore checked out late. We were billed for the late check-out.
The sides of the mattress not up to standard. Power point not easily accessible for a hair dryer. Very clean and neat. Felt unsafe with the sliding door that doesn't lock properly at the top, especially as there was a lot of movement after 12 at night. Booking went smoothly. The blinds in bedroom not in good condition.
The place is private and secure, lovely and comfortable.
Everything we could ask for in terms of overnight accommodation. Sometimes just missed someone at reception, especially right after our arrival.
I will book with Pensão Guest Lodge again anytime. Their customer service is fantastic, there is free Wi-Fi and the rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast, with all the trimmings, was delicious.
The self-catering unit is spacious, neat and clean. It was quite cold in the unit. We wanted breakfast, but it is only served between 07:00 and 08:00. It might be convenient for business travels but it is not ideal for tourists.

Great! Beautiful scenery close to the wildlife park and eating places to choose from in Nelspruit. Very impressed with the guest house and surroundings.
The barking of the neighbours' dogs was sometimes disturbing. Please see the stars.
My first impression was that the room was very nice and tidy, but after the first night, the units are not cleaned unless you ask for it. The bedding smelled bad and I went to ask for clean bedding. The cleaner only went to make the bed - not until 16:00 in the afternoon! Bath towels are stone-cold and rock-hard. The DStv (which only has a few channels) did not work. Apparently they would send someone to look at it. On day 4 (the day of our departure) it still didn't work! The taps of the shower were loose and water came out sparingly. The car gate was out of order and we had to push it open and close by hand. No notice of apology was posted. I am truly disappointed, seeing that I chose Pensao Guest Lodge out of all the other guesthouses and hotels! I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
