Privacy can become a problem if you have the wrong neighbors in the house. The pool area could do with a regular cleaning.

Unfortunately, Perle unter der Sonne is located in a very busy street with a lot of traffic noise until late in the evening and again early in the morning. The unit smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke despite no smoking signs posted. The bedding was also not up to standard. On a better note, the unit's kitchen is very well equipped and we had everything we needed. We also got the feeling that someone was permanently staying in the unit and that it had been vacated for our stay. For example, the bathroom was full of used soaps and shampoo. We therefore decided to sleep in another place on the third night of our stay.

Lovely apartment in Paarl, close to town and vineyards. Was very comfortable and had everything you needed.
On our return to the lodge on Thursday evening the 24th our remote for the gate did not work and we could not get hold of anyone from the Lodge. We are literally only in our room at half past 10 in the evening after I arranged a locksmith myself. The lodge's excuse was that they are a self-catering place and do not need to be available 24 hours a day. My wife and I sat on the sidewalk for 2.5 hours.
The studio apartment is fully equipped!! The pool was nice and clean. There’s nothing to complain about. The shops are 5 minutes away. If going to Paarl again I will book there.
A beautiful, neat, clean house - we immediately felt at home! We were hospitably welcomed and would definitely like to stay there again!
The fireplace was a winner and the access to the property would be improved if there was direct access during the rainy season.
