Great stay at Perlman House, the room was clean with a nice comfy bed, fireplace and a great shower. Centrally located within walking distance of all the sites, restaurants and shops in town.
Couldn't have asked for better. Very clean, tidy and was surprised with the layout of the room. Excellent overnight stay for one night.

Yes, the location and attention to small details made our stay very enjoyable. The process to register also works well.
1. You need a fire screen. 2. Fire extinguisher. 3. Light in the kitchen (you can’t do any cooking at night). 4. Better heating (gas heater / those panel heaters don’t do anything). 5. Proper shower head. 6. Blanket heater not working. It was a disappointment all of these issues and the amount of money you are expecting to pay.

Beautiful, more lights and a properly working toilet are needed. Very friendly welcome and the room is nicely furnished with a kitchenette. The gas for the plates was up when we wanted to make coffee in the morning.

Antionette was very friendly and professional in welcoming us. We loved the fireplace in the room and straight away made a beautiful, warm fire. The electric blankets were so good and the bed was just the best.
We had a fantastic time, the house is conveniently situated, has everything you need, old day's charm.

The unit was very well furnished to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We slept wonderfully on a very comfortable bed and beautiful linen. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need to enjoy a wonderful visit. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The visit was one we will remember and will definitely bring back to Perlman House again.
Lien and Antoinette were very hospitable. The cottage was very spacious and cosy, and beautifully decorated. The fireplace in the bedroom was just the best.

We stayed in Neeltje Cottage. The indoor fireplace and braai area were great especially as it was minus 5 degrees outside. I was a little concerned about noise when I saw the cottage was situated across the road from the local OK Food Store but was pleasantly surprised that there was no noise. What was a little disappointing was that there was an obvious attempt to cut back costs e. g. there were no bin liners in the bins, only half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, no bag of wood (as promised on their own website), etc. but other than that it had everything that we needed in terms of a self-catering cottage.
Perlman house is just what your busy life needs.

Well equipped self catering unit. The robust building materials contribute to the unique character and luxurious undertones in the room. No prior communication but instructions at the gate ensured we were able to call and then received by the lady in charge. Good security.

Perlman is located on the main street, so you can walk everywhere. Neeltje is a very spacious house with exceptional antiques. Daily cleaners, lovely patio and garden outside. Private and secure. All facilities to make the house nice and warm. Can definitely recommend it.
Neeltje Kothuis is very comfortable for 6 people. On the main street close to everything. The small braai room is very cosy. Can recommend the accommodation.

It is a very old building and old furniture, but great inside and out. Everything was so clean, lots of crockery that was sparkling clean and there is nothing too short. We could have stayed there for a week, there is silence in the small town with the most wonderful people. It was for sure the highlight of our holiday in the Cape.
Well located. Nice stay. Had a little trouble getting people to come and unlock when we arrived.
I was the only guest in the three-room house, which I really enjoyed since there is only one bathroom. Friendly reception. The house and my room are right next to the main road and people in town used to hang out until very late. In the early evening they also hang out on the house's porch. With taxis playing loud music in the early hours of the morning and cars speeding up and down the road. It's a shame that there is no more law enforcement in the small peaceful town.
A wonderful place, if I have to go again I will go for a longer period.
Our arrival was complicated by load shedding which was happening at the time. This meant we did not get the number of the person who manages arrivals and only had the details of the owner. This was the only glitch in our lovely stay.

Perlman House is located on the main street of Sutherland. The place is very well appointed. Nice indoor barbecue and on top of that more fireplaces too. Nice and cuddly for the cold winter evenings. Everything is clean and tidy. We had a wonderful stay.
Had a very nice stay with family around the fireplace. Sorry chimney in living room doesn't pull out all the smoke, chimney can put up a cock. Nice and cozy holiday home, would definitely recommend it.
Fantastic accommodation in a very old building with so much character and history. Was an absolute experience. Lien was fantastic with the booking, and Ronelle went out of her way to be able to make recommendations about what to do, as well as regularly asked if we needed anything. We arranged a doggy sitter for a night. The accommodation had everything we needed and we had a peaceful stay. Will definitely recommend. Ronelle is an absolute gem.

A wonderful space with a fully enclosed garden for the pets to roam safely. Comfortable beds and fantastic amenities. Can tend to get a bit noisy outside on weekends as this property is situated on the main road but by midnight its as silent as can be. The hospitality is also spot on and great tips with given for things to do and places to eat in the area.
A beautiful, restful place. Pity the stars didn’t come out to play, but I would definitely return to Perlman House when next in Sutherland.

Nice stay and nice time with good service. Plekkie can only be modernized a little more and paint that is peeling off the walls needs to be fixed. Would also be good if there could be coffee and even biscuits, as well as one or two gas heaters.

Lovely place with double fireplaces ideal for 3 to 6 people. Two units in house is ideal for families. Ronel and her husband were very helpful and went out of their way to make the stay very pleasant. Will recommend the place. Nothing wrong on Friday even though the house faces the main road. Grocery store right across the road. Lovely stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The place is better suited to a larger group. Due to it's previous use, it isn't as connected as it could be. Also not having a view outside due to its location is a negative. However, it is conveniently located and would recommend to others. The booking and follow up is good. The lady who met us and welcomed as at the premises was very helpful and caring. One extra comment, please have a name plate fixed to the house. We had some difficulty identifying the place.

We visit Sutherland frequently and this time we booked Perlman House as the place we usually stayed at was fully booked. I would not recommend staying here, chiefly because it is situated in a very noise part of Sutherland. If you want to visit Sutherland for the peace and quiet it offers this is not the place to stay. There is only one room with 6 single beds which might be okay for a big family if they don't mind all staying in one room. For a couple, or even a small group of friends, this is not the place to stay. Won't be back, there are better options.
