We enjoyed our weekend. Stands are private and in the bush. It was lovely, peaceful, and quiet. The hosts are fabulous. Definitely will go back.
Campsites are clean and ablution. Hot water was a problem due to one moment you have hot water and the next moment it's cold.
We only stayed for one night and loved every minute of our stay, from the animals visiting to the cute private ablutions! The hosts went out of their way to accommodate us too!
We visited Phangwa Bush Camp during the Easter weekend. What an awesome place. We had two stands that were grouped together, and it was perfect. We could barely see the other campsites. The sites were nice and big, and the private ablutions were painfully neat and clean. Matt and Lee-Ann were the perfect hosts, always willing to assist. We can't wait to go back.

It is very rustic, but all necessities are there - power points, water on site, decent ablutions - however no lights on the sites. They need some more game. The road to the camp is in need of some grading!
There are only 8 campsites on site and at reasonable distances from each other. The ablution itself is practically equipped with nice hot water. We had a wonderful walk on the combined farms and saw a lot of wildlife.

This is a very peaceful getaway for a small group of people.
Very neat pitch, nice in the woods. Also survived the unexpected storm.
We spent one night and would definitely recommend the place. If you are looking for a beautiful woodland getaway near Gauteng, the place is excellent. We were there before the rainy season and it was dry and hot but looking forward to a visit after the rain! Very good service (Lee and her husband even helped us out with camping chairs) and the private ablutions are a winner!
The 8 campsites are very private and each with its own ablution facilities. The perfect campsite if you want to be quiet and just relax.
Management is exceptionally professional. The game drive and hospitality was outstanding.

Blissful forest environment where one can relax. Walking trails lead you to a large variety of animals on site. Private ablution facilities are available and very neat. Friendly service. Shop with basic necessities also available, as well as a nice swimming pool.
Phangwa Bush Camp, thank you for a lovely getaway. We needed a quiet, isolated break from the city with an authentic camping experience and that is exactly what we got. Having the animals visit right outside our tent was truly remarkable. Thank you to the super friendly staff who took care of our needs at all times. The only thing is that the pool was not well maintained. It was not clean.
They keep you informed of your booking, they meet you on the day of your arrival to indicate your campsite. The private ablution is quaint and clean as well as the campsite is lovely and clean. A clean braai is provided and cleaned by managers on a regular daily basis. Managers and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have wood and ice you can buy from them and they bring it to your campsite. There is a small pool, unfortunately though when we visited, it was being cleaned, so could not use it. Overall a very nice bush getaway, with wildlife roaming close to the campsite or you can walk to view some wildlife up close. Really enjoyed our stay and not far from JHB/PTA for a quick getaway. Had a great time!
