30 guests' feedbackThe view was indescribably beautiful.
It rained heavily on our arrival. Unfortunately it limited our exploring.
We stay overnight with family and friends and enjoyed our stay very much.
Room needs a little TLC. Carpets need cleaning, heater cracked, bed leg was broken, couch had a tear, plug didn't have a cover. General upkeep needs attention.
Very quiet and peaceful, no noise, site tidy and easily accessible.
Had a great time with my family. Chalets are really clean. Staff very hospitable. Zulu dances and information about Zulus as well as the reptile park was an experience and it's cheap. Will definitely go again.
I enjoyed my stay at Phezulu.
When we got there it already seemed a bit low-class, we then entered the lodge at reception to book us in, the woman Magda then told us that we were a day early, we clearly had all our papers that set the dates. She then said after a while we shouldn't worry, everything is fine. She then booked us into Room 1, I will list points below that we were not happy with. The bathroom was not en suite as it was promised on the sheet, we had to use a bathroom that was across the hall, I was worried the whole way that someone else in the lodge was using the bathroom if I wanted to go in. The kettle didn't even have a plug near the table, we had to put the kettle on the floor where the only plug in the room was, my girlfriend also had to sit on the floor to do her hair. There isn't even a plug by the mirror. When we checked in the woman said there was not a TV as promised on the page. She then said she would plan to get one. We then waited in the room after unpacking our luggage, Magda then arrived with a TV and I helped them to mount the TV after a struggle. Right now I wanted to pack my things and just drive because it is so unprofessional and we didn't feel at home at all with the type of service we received. We walked there just to relax a bit and just get some air, we thought we'd go swimming. Guess what? The pool was grass green and just very dirty. It totally put us off and we were so looking forward to swimming. We then kept our hopes high and went to the reptile park. My becoming, I have never been so uncomfortable. Half of the snake cages' windows/glass were cracked. The spiders are kept in plastic drawers we didn't even open the drawers. There was one snake hanging dead from a branch. And the worst of all are the 3 m long crocodiles that are only fenced off with mesh wire. If they wanted to I have no doubt they will get through it. We felt so unsafe and uneasy that we got out of there in a hurry. We then make the difficult decision to stay because it was so expensive and I would lose a lot of money if we just went. The next morning was the breakfast, we then had to share a table with a family from another room. They don't have enough tables to give each room one. Again feeling so uncomfortable and awkward around the table with people we have never seen before. I was so angry. The view on the porch looks like someone's backyard, not a nice view at all. It was said on the website that there is undercover parking, although it is true there was not enough undercover parking for all the cars. I had to park my car outside in the sun. Nobody is Afrikaans like the website mentions. The pictures and marketing of the place is a bribe, if I could give them a score out of 10 it would be an honest 2. The place is not worth it, it was an absolute flop. We will never see the place again.
Good service, clean, beautiful. Nice place.
See rating.
We have travelled well, we had a great stay at Phezulu Safari Park. Our room was perfect and we were welcomed and we felt as if we were not far from home, staff is very friendly and the manager is so loving and the place is so beautiful and clean from the outside. I loved the part where they celebrated my sister's birthday with style, something I never thought of and she was very happy for the surprise, she even wanted to cry. Phezulu is the best and we are planning on going back soon. It was unfortunate that we had to leave before our checking out day because we had a call from home that forced us to go back home, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay, not far from the beaches, Shaka Marine, North beach, animal farm, museums, Umhlanga Rocks, Moses Mabida Stadium and many more.
Not very friendly service. The tables weren't enough for the breakfast and it was hot with no fans. A bit unorganised.
Goed bereikbaar en centraal gelegen, prachtige locatie om even tot rust te komen. Zeer goed uitgeruste onderkomens, netjes en schoon.
Baie netjies. Rustig en mooi ligging.
We had a pleasant stay and felt very safe!
Very neat rooms and a safe area - helpful staff!
The accommodation is value for money, it was clean. It was very cold but we had enough blankets to keep us warm, surely we will go again in summer to enjoy all the facilities. It is a lovely place for a family.
The staff were welcoming, things could be updated, but it was great value for money.
We unfortunately only stayed at Phezulu Safari Park for one night - however, it was lovely. The restaurant is stunning with a panoramic view of the Valley of 1000 hills, food is great and well priced too. We also spent a good 2 hours at the reptile park, with our own personal guide truly enriching the experience. All in all, it was high quality accommodation, for a very good price, with great, friendly and efficient staff. I would highly recommend it.
A very beautiful house in a fairytale location. The Zulu dance show is only fun for small children! Nice for one or two days.
Nice stay. Everything nice and clean and very peaceful. Will stay there again.
Phezulu Safari Park is the ideal getaway from a steassful daily routine of work and home responsibilities. Being surrounded by the beautiful and gentle rolling hills is nourishment for the soul.
Beautiful view and tons of activities, and the burgers to die for!
Please see the stars.
Phezulu Safari Park is the ideal getaway from the stressful daily routines of work and home responsibilities. Although it rained for our entire stay, it was still beautiful. My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our time away. The room we stayed in was perfect, clean and well kept. Would definitely go there again!
If you want to experience KwaZulu-Natal, this is the place to be. Stunning views and a good vibe.
Phezulu Safari Park is a nice place to be if you really want to rest and enjoy living next to the wild animals. The place is highly secured and offers lot of fun activities you can enjoy.
Most beautiful sunsets, beautiful never-ending views. Great location. Could do with more emphasis on cleanliness (e.g. linen) though.
Extra glasses & luggage storage space would have been nice. Cupboard space limited. Running toilet needed to be turned on and off. Extra mirror outside the bathroom would be useful. Fitted mattress protector for hygienic reasons.
