Very nice, clean and tidy, with everything you need to have a good time.
Outstanding woodland getaway. Great relaxation with the woodland and fauna and flora on your doorstep. Looking forward to the next break, maybe a little longer! Thank you very much!
It was a festival. The house was clean and tidy. The location very good. The decks perfect for the most beautiful sunset! We also saw elephants drinking water from the river. Can recommend Phumangeni for sure!
Very nice, thank you. It was pleasant and I would stay there again.
Definitely will be back. Only one downfall. I think the keys should be labelled for the front door, etc. But otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you. Would definitely recommend it.
Absolutely loved our stay at Phumangeni. The house is definitely a home away from home equipped with everything you need. We had a steady stream of animal visitors, which was absolutely wonderful. Dana is a brilliant host and keeps you updated with all necessary info. Highly recommend Phumangeni.
Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the animals that came visiting.
We enjoyed it very much.
Very comfortable house for 2 adults and 2 young kids.
Was very nice. Plenty of animals and everything you need. Solar power was a bonus.
Delightful. Clean and tidy. Had everything I needed. I would, however, recommend tags on the keys, or at least for the front door. It was a 5-10 min struggle every time I wanted to unlock or lock a door.
Our long weekend was absolutely excellent. Hospitality from the host was 5 star plus. She made us feel at home and even brought a treat for a special occasion. The unit was well equipped and had everything one would need for a long weekend! Animals that came to visit were breathtaking!
The place was clean, well-kept, and we had 6, 7, and 8-year-olds who enjoyed every moment there. I love the views and having animals greet us while we chill by the pool and deck.
The solar system came in very handy and we didn't sit without power for a single day. We saw an awful lot of animals and they are very tame.
Will definitely stay here again, have been to Marloth a few times but Phumangeni Marloth Park was the icing on the cake for us. Thank you Dana for your kindness.
We highly recommend Phumangeni! It was our first time in Marloth Park and we couldn't have asked for better. It was a forest holiday in style (and an inverter for load shedding). The owners are people of heart who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and explained everything well before our arrival. Various wild animals, birds and even the night monkey came to visit on the front porch. Don't book for too short — the withdrawal symptoms are quite overwhelming.
The house was clean and tidy. Love the inverter. .Many animals that visited. Only the garden around the house needs attention.
Very well equipped. Very neat and beautiful view! This is the most animals we have ever seen on a weekend at Marloth and right on our doorstep! Excellent service from the owner himself and very friendly and helpful! The children really enjoyed it! We will definitely book with Phumangeni again.
The house is located in a nice quiet part, and the wildlife that comes around every now and then makes everything worthwhile. Everything was in place and the owner Dana forwarded all the necessary information via email. Would recommend Phumangeni for sure! The wildlife that comes around there is an experience. It's not every day that kudus, warthogs, impalas, ibex, tarrantals and mongooses come to hang out on your back porch.
We had a wonderful stay at Phumangeni. We received very friendly and high quality service from the hostess. The place really has everything you need, the kitchen is very well equipped. Children enjoyed the splash pool. The environment was quiet and peaceful and we could hear the lions and hyenas in the evenings when we sat on the porch. We had many different animal visitors on our front porch which the children really enjoyed. It was definitely value for money!
Very happy with inverter, had no worry about loadshedding.
Value for money, even Elephants seen from the lookout.
Beds sleep incredibly nice good mattresses what a weekend. I would recommend the house sitting on the porch and hearing the river in the game garden. It is dirt road to the house but the road is beautiful. So many animals around the hui: kudus, warthogs, giraffes, impalas, zebras, ibex, grebes, blue wildebeest, night monkeys and many birds.
The owner was so friendly and helpful. The cottage was perfectly equipped, absolutely nothing was missing. It's also the perfect place if you want animal visitors in the evening and early morning. Most beautiful view from the top of the observation tower. Thank you very much Phumangeni for an unforgettable weekend!
Many thanks that we could be your guest in Phumangeni. We enjoyed the stay, surrounded by animals, visiting us directly after arrival (wildebeest, bushbock, mongoose, warthogs). We enjoyed to get up early in the morning, take a short drive to crocodile bridge gate and enter the fantastic Kruger Park, where we had a lot of sightings! One of the best things in Phumangeni: sitting on the upper deck, enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine and watch the bats starting to their night-hunting. Dana, your service is fantastic as well. Sending all information about house, checkin, sightings, etc. via WhatsApp. perfect. Thanks again!
Lovely house in the middle of the forest. The animals come to visit regularly - from zebras to warthogs. What a lovely experience.
We saw large amounts of game including bushbuck, divers, warthogs, impalas, kudus and blue wildebeest around the house. The owners were very helpful, and Dana forwarded us all necessary information about Phumangeni and load shedding schedules. The porch and meeting place are very comfortable and we spent many hours there. The house is nice and private. Will go there again for sure.
Saw a very large variety of animals from our porch, was amazing.
Were welcomed by the local zebras which was a real treat. Lots of animals came to see us over the week. Air-conditioning very efficient. Nice and near to Kruger National Park. Would highly recommend it!
See stars.
Very nice house, everything one needs. Children really enjoyed the splash pool. The location is excellent. Many animals came to visit. Will book again.
The cottage is very comfortably furnished, with air conditioning and fans against the heat of the Lowveld. The nice big veranda and the small swimming pool also helped a lot to cool off. Security at the cottage is good, there is WiFi and Netflix. The animals come right up to the house and it was great to see and feed them so close. We saw so many different animals, that it is not necessary to visit the Kruger National Park at all. You can see everything in Marlothpark.
The location of the house is well located and we had a great time staying there.
Comfortable house, nice porch and barbecue, very quiet and peaceful, constant influx of animals, peace for your soul! Definitely going to Phumangeni again!
Will visit Phumangeni again for sure.
Never seen so many animals that come to visit in Marloth before.
Lovely place with everything you need, numerous visiting animals coming to feed - too many species to put here!
The place is everything and more that is advertised.
Phumangeni was very neat, clean and well equipped. We also got a lot of information about different things we can do during our time there.
We had a nice stay. Very comfortable house with everything you need in the forest. House is neat and clean. Porch is fun and wading pool is a winner, but the animals surpass everything!
Was a lovely weekend with many animals and the night monkeys were the cutest things. Had such a great time and was able to relax deep in the forest with the river's rustle in the background, will definitely visit again soon.
The stay was very nice place clean and homely, thank you.
What a privilege it was for our family to be able to stay in Phumangeni. We really enjoyed it. And the place to stay was brilliant. Thanks to the owners for all your efforts. We will definitely visit again.
Very well appointed unit with a good location in the park. The unit is clean and tidy and equipped with everything you need on a relatively short getaway holiday. The owner is very friendly and helpful and always available. Just one big pleasure.
Phumangeni is a wonderful location for a stay in Marloth Park, long or short. The house is secluded but not isolated in the Bush and a sizeable veranda looks out into undeveloped park land criss-crossed by animal tracks. We had daily visits from a wide variety of animals which came to look at us looking at them! Zebra, kudu, impala, mongoose, ostrich, wildebeest, warthog and even giraffe. There were baboons passing by at times (keep clear!) and cunning monkeys (keep the doors and windows closed when they’re around!). It’s only a very short drive or comfortable walk to the fence of the Kruger National Park where one can walk safely and view all the activity along the Crocodile River. We saw magnificent birds as well as lions, leopard, elephants, hippopotamus and even crocodiles. I think one of our highlights was watching a dung-beetle hard at work- a model of perseverance! The house itself is very nice and comfortable with all one could need, including DSTV and reliable Wi-Fi. The splash pool was a godsend on the very hot days. The cleaning staff were very friendly, and Dana was available any time by phone to help and advise. Thoroughly to be recommended.
The house is well maintained, clean and contains everything you could possibly need. The beds are comfortable and there are aircons in every room for the hot days. Dana was always available for inquiries and information. The river is within walking distance of the house and there are many animals that come to visit every day. I can definitely recommend the house.
It's a lovely house, well furnished. Nice clean. The braai area is comfortable and you can have fun on the deck. The upper deck offers a view of KNP. The location is good and in a very peaceful environment. Nice and private. Lots of wildlife that comes right up to the house. Good communication from the owner, who responded quickly to questions. All in all a lovely place. We will definitely stay there again.
Had a little trouble finding the place as it is deeper in the forest, but the security people were very friendly and helped us. The unit was clean and everything you needed was there. Favorite place to hang out was on the porch outside looking out into the woods. The weather was just right, not too hot or cold. A very nice visit. Dana, the owner, was also so helpful and really wanted us to enjoy our visit. Many thanks to her.
From the moment we booked, everything fell into place. Immediate feedback with all necessary information and arrangements. It was so nice to share with Dana, the owner. She made us feel like we were visiting old friends. The house was very clean and tidy. Everything you need is there and everything was in good working order. You literally only have to take your food and clothes with you. The best were all the animals that came to visit, and the incredible tranquility of the forest. Thank you very much for making us feel so special and we will definitely come and stay again.
The house is well looked after, modern and has everything you need for a holiday in the forest. The lookout tower looks over the trees and can see parts of the Kruger National Park. The location is just right. The braai area overlooks a "green belt" and one cannot see any neighbors, and is close enough to everything that is important. Animals often visit the house and a large variety of birds also come for a visit.
Very nice place, clean and tidy! A must for a good rest! The nicest silence, like this with the animals! Wonderful hospitality! Will always recommend!
House location perfect and many animals make it even nicer.
We have been to Marloth Park a lot and at Phumangeni we had the most animals with us. It was really pleasant to see so many animals eating and grazing right in front of us.
Lots of animals to feed. The lookout tower is great. The house is centrally located.
It was very nice, if it was so peaceful.
Beautiful place. Very clean and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again if we go to Marloth again for a holiday.
Very well situated and we hated very many animal visitors.
Was very nice to see the wildlife. Place is pretty clean.
The house was so beautiful and very lovely, we really felt at home, my favorite parts of the house was the upper level where u could see the whole of Marloth Park and its beautiful view and the pool, it was so relaxing and refreshing. I would definitely go back again.
Had a great time and had lots of animal visitors to the house.
Owner is very friendly and generous with any information. Will definitely go back there.
Phumangeni is situated in a perfect spot for game viewing with a huge variety of animals visiting the house (too many to list here), house clean and spacious with everything we needed. Good information and advice from owners throughout booking to arriving. Will be back sometime in the future and will recommend to others.
Phumangeni is simple, yet all you need to enjoy the place. Dana was very helpful and eager to assist us and very friendly. You will enjoy Phumangeni for relaxing and the park is next door.
Was one of the best places we have stayed. The animals are terribly tame and literally eat from human hands. Never felt unsafe or scared. Heaven on Earth! Will definitely visit again.
Recommend it to any nature lover and to the person seeking rest for his soul.
I will always go back. My family really enjoyed it and the service and support from everyone was excellent.
The viewing stoep and animals were a highlight.
A very nice place for you and your family. Very neat and well equipped and peaceful. We had a nice stay.
We were very happy with everything. It's very neat and has everything you need. Will definitely go back.
We had a nice stay and had everything we needed in the house. Guests just need to remember to bring extra toilet paper. We did not know about this beforehand.
What a beautiful place! We'll definitely go back again. The owner is very friendly and willing to help.
The house was great. The communication was precise and helpful. Summary: would recommend anyone to feel free to spend time here.
Comfortable with great service. Would stay there again!
We lived outside all the time because everything is literally on your doorstep. No annoying neighbors - just you and the forest. There was so much wildlife and even the night monkeys made an appearance. The house offers everything needed with spacious rooms. The air conditioning in each room is a big plus and it also keeps the whole house cool. We enjoyed every moment and can recommend the place.
Good service and very safe feeling. Would recommend it for a nice visit home. Awesome high look-out decks and nice splash pool under the shade.
House is comfortable and has everything needed. No complaints. Saw many animals around the house.
House is convenient with everything you need. Incredible experience with animals that eat out of your hand. Pool was a big treat. Will definitely stay here again.
We struggled to get somebody to fix the hot water. We booked in on Friday at 5 and could only shower Saturday at 1. Very disappointed. Will never book again.
It was an absolute jewel in the bush. My kids enjoyed it so much. Giraffes, warthogs, deer and absolute silence. The accommodation was really great.
Very nice stay. Sometimes "Murphy" throws such a clod in one's way, but that only makes it more interesting. Wonderful to be able to be in the forest again and see and hear all the animals. Here one's soul becomes calm again and your head clears again. It's just a pity that time passes so quickly.
Quiet and peaceful with many visitors. You can hear the lions and hippos at night. Excellent accommodation. Comfortable beds, very neat and clean. Very friendly and competent owners. Value for money.
This little jewel tucked away in the bush was a great find! It was wonderful to have the animals coming up to the house. You are close enough to shops should you need them, but far enough away to get some proper peace and quiet. Close to two of the Kruger gates as well. The house itself is comfortable and well maintained, the DStv was a bonus for the kids. It was a pleasurable experience right from booking. Definitely recommended!
The observation tower was an absolute winner. We hung out there until late at night most of the time and enjoyed enjoying breakfast on the first level. The house is neat and clean and the air conditioning is a plus. The space is a bit tight if there are more than 4 people, especially with teenagers. Otherwise there is absolutely nothing wrong with Phumangeni Marloth Park and we will definitely book there again. Dana is an incredibly friendly person and gave us so much information about Marloth, lookouts, shops and even the fair that was in Marloth on Saturday (which we attended of course). In the evenings we heard the hippos and lions and many goats came to visit us. There were also monkeys who visited us on Sunday before we went home. They provided a lot of entertainment. Thank you very much for a very nice rest, just what we needed, unfortunately just too short.
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The animals that come to visit make it even better. The lions roared at us in the night. Unbelievable. Absolutely fantastic, would recommend anytime. It was great. Very definitely our second home away from home.
The house is comfortable and very tidy. The most amazing part is being able to see the animals right on your porch. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the kudus and warthogs and over time the little grebes, meerkats, guinea fowls and nightingales also came for a visit. The lower deck offers a comfortable place for breakfast and the upper one for a cocktail. I would definitely recommend Phumangeni.
You rarely feel welcome with a reservation, but Dana makes it possible! Thank you very much for a wonderful few days without any problems. You will definitely see us again soon!
We had a nice stay and enjoyed feeding the animals. We also spent time in the lookout tower and watched the animals. Close to the river.
Everything was in place and tidy upon arrival and we felt right at home. It's a nice holiday home, large porch with braai, nice vantage point and with everything you need. It's wonderful to stay in nature like this, with the wildlife moving around the house. Owner communicated with us on a regular basis. Also felt very safe in the house.
We will definitely go again. All the wildlife came to visit the house, until a gray grebe came to eat at the feeding place. A herd of eleven giraffes walked past the house. The nightcaps are terribly "cute". Thanks Dana, your place is beautiful.
Thank you very much Dana for a lovely break, the place met all our expectations with exceptional communication and helpfulness. You will definitely see us again soon!
It is wonderfully arranged that the animals come to the house, even the night monkeys.
The house is spacious. The two bathrooms work well. Everything you need is available in the kitchen. The owner's help with neighbors making noise late at night was of great help! Viewpoint makes you forget about time.
What an awesome place, definitely going again.
We had a lovely time. Got to see lots of animals warthog, Kudu, Inyala, Zebra's lots of Giraffe and Impala even a crocodile down by the river bank.
The stay was very pleasant and the house is well located close to the Crocodile River and Kruger Wildlife Park. There is a lot of wildlife that comes to visit and was a good experience for the children. The facilities are great and we really enjoyed it.
Very nice overall. Enjoy the animals and the observation tower. Had a nice bike ride, paths along Wildtuindrade. House is well located, not too against the road. It's a bonus.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was clean and the security was good. Dana, thank you for the excellent service. We will recommend Phumangeni to our family and friends. Thank you again for a very pleasant time.
We stayed in Phumangeni for 3 nights. Everything was clean and neat and well equipped for our stay. The aircon in the bedrooms were a welcome relief. There were a few animals that came to visit. It is conveniently close to the Kruger Park for day visits. Safety was no problem, but the monkeys will climb into any open entrance.
It was comfortable, but the dishes were not properly washed and floors were not very clean. Lots of cigarette butts around the place. Opposite first Bush Center, many workers sitting there drinking.
The place was smaller than expected but well maintained. All basics utensils and facilities were also available and in working order. The view from the lookout was amazing and you could see the bank of the Crocodile River from there. Nicely secluded and visited by many animals. Perhaps an opportunity for a boma? The pool was also clean and in working order. Will visit again after the wet season.
The house is much smaller than on the pictures. Room with double bed is very dark although all lights are on. Knives are broken and in bad condition. A cleaner should definitely clean the sidewalk / braai. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wildlife excursion one day because there was no gas for hot water. Fortunately, it was fixed very quickly but it was inconvenient.
We were really satisfied with everything. There was nothing to complain about and we will definitely stay there again. Remember, safety is your responsibility in this country, so if you act irresponsibly, wherever you are, you will have a problem.
Neat, homely, well equipped place. Felt at home from the moment we got there. Each room with its own bathroom is definitely a winner. The view from the top deck is breathtaking at sunset. The right place to relax and "recharge". All possible measures for our safety were in place. Definitely "YES" for the next break. Dana - thanks for everything, see you again at Phumangeni!
It was a wonderful couple of days in the bush, relaxing and a nice getaway from the bustle of the city. Enjoyed the lookout tower.
Cute place, well-appointed. You see quite a lot of animals.
The acccommodation wasn't actually the problem. Unfortunately we were robbed in our sleep the second night. Cellphones and tablets in the room were stolen. According to security this has been a problem for a few weeks. I'm just a bit unhappy with the fact that nobody told us about the problem in the area. I suggest prospective holidaymakers should be made aware of this problem, especially if it is a regular occurence at indicated by security. Won't ever visit Marloth Park again.
