65 guests' feedbackThis was exactly what we were looking for as an overnight stay en route to our destination, as the location is conveniently close to the highway. The property was also well-fenced and we felt safe with our fur-baby. There was also an adjacent area where we could let her run freely, which was lovely. We had a lovely stay-over and went for breakfast at Piggly Wiggly (close by) the next morning.
Near where I do business. Everything is just convenient.
Lovely, comfortable house with ample space and a well-equipped kitchen. Gas stove that helps with loadshedding. Conveniently located next to the N3 for overnight stays as well. Beautiful, neat and clean. Strong WiFi, but not available during loadshedding.
Piccadilly Farm was ideal because it was close to the highway and the cottage was fenced off. We could go to Piggly Wiggly for breakfast before departure and Howick was close by to purchase food for dinner.
Very nice location. Love the farm life.
Was very nice and enjoyed the time there.
The accommodation was reassuring.
We were very well received even though we were there earlier than we planned. We were informed about what we could do in the area for the day. The house is in good condition and we had everything we needed and more. Will definitely stay there again.
Although the building is quite old, it was comfortable. Everything that was needed was there. Peaceful and quiet. Great position if you want to enjoy the meander.
The place is well taken care of with the thatch being revamped during our stay.
The view from the 'farm cottage' is beautiful.
The cottage we rented is "cozy" and very well equipped. The bed is very comfortable and the WiFi is definitely a bonus. Our hostess even explained us to a nice "venue" to watch the Springboks' game.
Very good access route from the N3. Friendly and extremely helpful host and hostess. House is neat and well furnished. Everything works and the fireplace was lovely and the wood in abundance. We felt very safe even though the house is located very close to the N3 highway. There is an electric fence and gate that is permanently in operation. There is also an effective alarm and camera system. The beautiful garden and swimming pool create a relaxed peaceful atmosphere. It's a beautiful environment. We had a lovely stay and would stay at Piccadilly Farm again. Thank you!
Will definitely stay a little longer next time and not just overnight.
Very neat and comfortable house. Everything you need. Nice and quiet. Can definitely recommend it.
We stayed here as a family on our way to the mountains, comfortable house with friendly people.
Nice family stay. Would suggest that pool only be resolved. Couldn't find the broom and mop. But managed without it.
The trucks on the N3 during the day could be a noisy problem we only slept there and it was quiet and peaceful.
Nice view and nice to wake up there. Fresh air.
Nice stopover on the way to the South Coast. The house is well equipped and there is a nice place to walk on the farm.
On the day of arrival we were received so kindly. A larger unit was available for the evening and we were immediately taken there. The house was fully equipped for an unforgettable visit. Very good service, fantastic security and comfortable accommodation.
The house is big, you don't need anything except your own food. Beautiful garden and pool. It feels very welcoming and has enough space for a large group. All implements are already there so nothing is needed. The only slight annoyance was the noise from the main road, but then again it was Easter weekend which was to be expected. Shirley is always available. Very good location.
However, it is just too close to the N3 to experience a peaceful farm atmosphere due to the road noise. However, the view is beautiful and the cottage cosy. Another negative is that the bathroom is in the main room and the other guests have to walk through the room, but it's also not that big of a problem if it's all family members.
The only access to the bathroom is the master bedroom which might have become a problem if we stayed there longer. However, because teenagers sleep longer than their parents, it's probably not too big of a problem
Place is neat and clean. Shower floor is unsafe - slippery if your feet are full of soap.
The highway was very close so had trucks hooting all through the night. For an overnight stay was good, the old farm house was lovely and felt homey.
Gardens are special, especially the roses in bloom.
Wow. Will definitely be going back. What a home from home. Wish that we lived in that house and woke up and went to sleep to that environment every day. To the owners and an amazing staff member, thank you.
Everything was neat and safe. We enjoyed the board games. Perfect.
Thank you very much for a wonderful evening in your beautiful home. We expected a small place and when we arrived it was a very large luxury house with selected beautiful furniture. We immediately felt at home.
Had a wonderful stay at Piccadilly farm. The set-up was clean and neat. There was a great deal of effort, especially with scarves and bedding. Will stop there again on our way to the sea.
Thoughtful. Nice touch with the honesty box filled with provisions you may have forgotten, also swimming towels available. Rooms lovely and spacious. Easy access to highway.
Had a great stay for one night with my wife and children on the way back home from the South Coast. The cottage is very comfortably furnished and has everything you need. The location is also conveniently located next to the N3. Will definitely stay there again in the future.
It was pretty much a run for the soul place. Unfortunately the electronic gate closed on our car, maybe just putting up a warning that the gate is closing.
Comfortable and spacious. Great for friends and family travelling together.
Awesome place to overnight!
Everything and more you need for a "stopover".
The farm cottage was absolutely charming and we found it to be perfect. The farm's proximity to the N3 may not be everybody's cup of tea but we didn't have a problem with it and found it convenient.
See stars.
The cottage is real farm, cement floors etc. No TV. Very basic, but very comfortably furnished. Approximately 12 minutes from Howick MediClinic. The bed in the master bedroom sleeps very well.
We only arrived late at night, drank coffee and went to bed. Left early the next morning. Everything was available except for coffee.
A pretty farm house with good facilities. We were a bit surprised that the bathroom can only be accessed via the main bedroom, because we were there with our friends. Out of the main bedroom you had to go through the second bedroom to get to the kitchen or lounge. As family it's not a problem, but with friends it could be a bit of a problem because we didn't have any privacy.
Very good stay, just near the highway with traffic noise, but nothing too bad.
Unfortunately Piccadilly is very close to the N3 so it was very noisy with all the traffic all night, otherwise it was very nice.
Warm and cozy to spend the night there with lots of atmosphere, especially if you love farm life.
Very well equipped kitchen. Good beds! We only stayed one night, In the middle of the Midland Meander. Shirley is a good host.
We needed accommodation close to the Midlands for a function, and Piccadilly Farm Accommodation was perfect. We stayed in the Thatch house, which had everything we needed. The accommodation was clean and well-equipped, fire wood was supplied, and we enjoyed a lazy evening around the fireplace. The house is close to the N3, but the traffic is not a bother, and access is quick. The setting was very relaxing. We will definitely be back. Our host, Kevin, was welcoming and helpful.
Would definitely stay there again!
The place was clean and tidy! Will definitely want to stop by again.
Had a joyful stay. Friendly and helpful owners. Great for overnight stay close to the N3.
Perfect base to explore the Midlands, easy freeway access to come and go for day or night outings. Freeway noise not an issue at night. All the home comforts; more than just an overnight place to sleep. Lots to do in the area on the Midlands Meander.
The cozy and spacious cottage sleeps 4 and is spotless and tidy with pure white sheets and towels. Beautiful antique furniture gives it a warm feel. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and well equipped. There is an alarm system which means that you can sleep safely at night after admiring the cute fireflies. We can recommend the place with great confidence.
Shirley welcomed us with open arms at very short notice. Our room was very neat and clean and the surroundings were calm and peaceful. Would recommend Piccadilly Farm Accommodation to anyone.
Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay overnight on your farm. My children loved the cows! The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and ensured you were kept warm. The owners were very accommodating, and welcoming.
A real farm stay. Well equipped. Rustic, but nice. Host is lovely. Only comment would be to tell persons that for both rooms to access bathroom, you have to go through the one bedroom, awkward as we had a guest.
The location of the accommodation is perfect for transit to other KZN destinations, a stone's throw from the N3, close to Howick, but not Howick prices, not five star posh, but homely atmosphere. Slept well and warm enough.
The scenery is wonderful. Children enjoyed cows close to home. Nice for a quick sleepover.
It is very peaceful and very beautiful. Great family time.
Very nice stay. Lovely place.
It was nice to just get the feeling of a farm cottage en just feel what it is like to not be in the hustle and bustle of the city. It's definitely a place to sleep over of even to spend a while at. It's close tot the Midlands and Mooi River. There is lots to do in the area and the place itself had everything that you need. The hostess leaves nice snacks in the room and chocolate, wine and champagne in the fridge if you want to make us of it and enjoy yourself.
Everything was sparkling clean and tidy. Had a great sleep. The only thing that bothered me was that some of the windows couldn't close completely and some cold air could sneak in.
As a family always rushing around, the farm was close enough to get to one's destination from Durban. It was a nice base to go traveling to the various Midland routes. Enough to do relax, walk and ride bikes. Thanking you John and Shirley allowing us too see your personal garden before the open garden. Absolutely beautiful.
The exterior does not do the interior justice. My wife was pleasantly surprised by the snacks and attention to detail was an added bonus. Easy access to the Midlands Meander and 2 golf courses we will be using this as our base to play golf and explore the region. Thanks for a pleasant stay and see you soon.
The cottage is well equipped, from large fridge to braai, and everything in between. We had a nice relaxing time, watching the cows in the fields. The views are stunning, but unfortunately the freeway was a little noisy, and that was expected as it was in the peak holiday season.
