The staff were very accommodating as we had to change our days due to a change in plane tickets. However, the bed was rock hard and we couldn't sleep well at all. The air conditioning had 3 different levels of noise and the mini fridge kicked in now and then. All the other guests started showering around 6am, it sounded like we were in the shower with them. We were supposed to stay for 2 days but left early the next morning. I did request a refund because we were on a budget and needed to find another place to stay, the lovely lady at reception informed me that they don't do refunds. Breakfast was good and the young man was excellent.
Accommodation is pleasant, and service is very good, but at least you want hot water for bath or shower. That's all the problem there was.
What an experience. Spacious and tidy rooms. Incredibly friendly and hospitable staff. Feel at home immediately. Come as a guest and leave as friends. The location is perfect. Part of the city, but also out of the city. Quiet and safe. Thank you Pretoria North Lodge.

The room that I stayed in does not have a microwave which makes it difficult to heat any food. Also my room had beautiful curtains that did not shade one from the safety lights outside making the room very light in the evening, and thus very difficult to sleep.
Just short of handles at the toilet for people in wheelchairs to hold on to.
We were taken to a room that looked nothing like the one we booked in the pictures. The bed was very creaky, as soon as we sat down it was clear that we were not going to sleep on it. I went to ask why we couldn't be checked into the room we booked. The answer was that there was a water leak in it which had been repaired earlier in the afternoon. We were then taken to the room as in the photo. The bed was no better, maybe worse creaky, could hardly sleep as as soon as you stir it cracks and wakes you up. The TV could not be turned off, the curtains were far too transparent and the room was therefore so lit that it was difficult to sleep.
There were no extra blankets in the room as it got chilly during the night. Never experienced such a creaky bed in a guest house.
Bridal couple whose room was upgraded was a surprise.
The area is steep under the mountain "for vehicles", but the view is rewarding. Close to most necessary shops. The peaceful surroundings ensure a good night's rest. Staff make the Covid measures run smoothly. They still care about their customers. Thank you.
The room is very practically furnished. The hostess made us feel at home. Everything was sufficient for our stay.
The safety is of a high standard and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The guesthouse has a lot of potential, but the hostel rules are inappropriate. It feels like you are being rationed with coffee/tea/sugar/milk (powder)/toilet paper. There was only one bag of each. I often sleep in guest houses and there is always more than enough of bg. stock. I'm traveling far and don't want to wonder if I can drink the coffee/tea in the evening, or if I should save it for the next morning. Pretoria North Lodge can definitely improve in this respect. I had to ask for an extra coffee mug and got the feeling that it was actually given begrudgingly. On the night of my arrival, I had to ask my children to go and buy me coffee, sugar, milk and water and bring them to me. Then my children were actually not allowed to be in my room with me at all, but I disregarded this dormitory rule because I considered it ridiculous. I hadn't seen them in months and just wanted to relax and chat with them for a while. Such small things are of great importance to guests and can make/break a guest house.

Service was great and rooms are nice, just a pity the power for the fridge didn't work and the air con didn't work, otherwise it was nice.
1. The room was okay, felt a bit small 2. The desk was big enough 3. The room had no bar fridge (for the price I paid, I expected one) 4. The Wifi was not really free, the first 1GB was free after that I had to pay. The reason I chose Pretoria North Lodge was the free Wifi (I had initially picked Protea Huis, which was cheaper but they didn't have free Wifi). I stayed for 11 nights and 1GB is not enough to cover that period
Rooms, furniture and the service in general on point, proximity of the shopping complex and main roads convenient.

The tiles in the room I slept in were loose in places. The room my girlfriend slept in didn't have a blanket, only a blanket. She caught cold during the night and experienced great discomfort. I think it's unacceptable for a guest house not to leave blankets in the room as a 'backup' for colder nights. We go to functions in Pretoria North 4 times a year, but I doubt whether we will use Pretoria North Lodge's services again.
Was a wonderful experience. Owners and staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very neat and clean. Will book at their place again anytime. Beautiful view of Pretoria from the Magaliesberge.

Pretoria North Lodge was cute and acceptable. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. There was also air conditioning in the room and several DStv channels, which was welcome in the heat of Pretoria.
