The house is really nice and spacious and all the facilities we needed were there. The view is incredible and one feels comfortable and safe. The rooms are also very well equipped for everything we wanted. Parking is a bit of a challenge when all the units are full, but that's the least of all that Pier Plesier has to offer. Laundry services are also available by the staff for a fee and the service is really great. We will definitely visit Pier Plesier again in the future.
It was one of the best vacations ever. The location, the view, everything is amazing. We thought every day that we would like to stay there forever. When all the units are full, parking is a bit of a challenge, but it's the least compared to what Pier Plesier has to offer. Everything we could need was there. Laundry can also be done by staff for a fee and even their service is really great. We will definitely visit Pier Plesier again.

Our third stay at Pier pleasure and definitely not our last time. Once again we were received extremely kindly by the owner. As people who travel a lot through our country, Pier pleasure is the best set up for nice holiday/travel accommodation. The kitchen is absolutely fully, thoroughly equipped for either cooking on the stove or grilling. Don't forget the fantastic view. The balcony is literally 6 meters from the sea during high tide. Watching the keen surfers also provides enjoyment.

Yes, had a nice stay. Just had trouble getting past all the surfboards on the apartment's porch.
Location couldn't be better. The view is stunning. Everything you need in a well-equipped home. The only thing is one can't really leave your sliding doors open facing the sea as there is no protection against theft or crime. There were random strangers (not residents) wandering past. Only a knee-high wall in front of the doors.
Very nice stay. Lovely place. Just sad that the room's wall by the entrance door is starting to crack so badly. On our previous visit in March it was also like this, and still not recovered. We also discovered that the cleaners make a lot of noise in the morning in the rest of the house while we are still sleeping or resting. Other than that we will be back for sure.

Perfect. Just needed a bed and a cup of tea and to be the first out on the waves in the morning. It was all that. Extra bonus was the secure parking not even mentioned on booking. The payment did not reflect and the communication was very irritating.

Ian was a fantastic host, very helpful and friendly. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was spotless and tidy. It is lovely to sit and watch the 'surfers' and we saw a seal which gave us a very nice show.

Ian was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The stairs are very steep, so be careful. The only issue we really had was the hot water was brown, which made bathing unpleasant. Ian said it was being upgraded. I'm assuming rust in the pipes and geyser. The accommodation is well positioned away from the noise on the beach and close enough to watch the surfers and dolphins. During load shedding, only router 2 works with poor signal, but when the power returns, router 1 has a good signal.
Upon arrival, we were early but Ian, the host, welcomed us with open arms and our unit was ready in under 10 minutes. The unit was tidy and had everything that you need. The room has sliding doors that open up to a panoramic view of Vicbay beach, and we loved hearing the sound of the waves crashing at our doorstep. Even though the weather was a bit cold and rainy, we still enjoyed braaing both days thanks to the built-in braai on the deck. It was great watching the surfers catch the waves throughout the weekend, and it was sad leaving. We will definitely be back soon.

We stayed in unit 1 on the 2nd floor. Style sets up stairs. It really was the most beautiful view and so close to the beach. The children just played in the pools in front of the house with low water. In the afternoon when the beach quiets down, it is peaceful and we could watch the waves for hours. The place is well furnished and lacks nothing and would only like to suggest a new bed for the master bedroom in unit 1. We had a really hard time sleeping on the double wooden bed, but the view made up for the bad sleep. Our host was very friendly and available if we needed him or had questions. We will definitely visit here again one day.

For this location and price one would expect attention to detail. Light in room does not work, there is no kitchen cloth and the dish towel has the status of a floor cloth instead. Disappointing.
Apartment is beautifully clean and quite modern. Warm and friendly welcome. View absolutely amazing. Very happy with the whole experience until "loadshedding" hit us. There is no alternative power supply - you sit in the pitch dark like an owl on a clod and wonder why the people couldn't afford an R86 lamp that has battery power just for the lodshedding times. "Free" WIFI is of course also gone if the power is out - maybe they can't afford R1500 for a small UPS so that the guests can stay connected to the internet. First prize would of course be if they would install a large "back up" power supply unit like the guys down the street. We're disappointed that the ad doesn't warn that they don't have alternative power. At R2000 per night one might have expected power. Will we visit Victoria Bay again - definitely but at the guy down the street who has power.
Would recommend two or more nights.
We were expecting a lot more from the venue. Ian is very nice and welcoming, however, the rooms were tired. No chocolates to greet one. Nothing special. Dustbin not emptied from previous guests. TV not working. Glass balustrades and windows needed cleaning. Definitely not value for money. Location was its only strong point.

We had a lovely time here. Both inside the accommodation and sitting on the stoep gazing at the waves. The ocean is literally on your doorstep and this was the best part of staying here. Ian made sure we were comfortable by offering us a heater for the cold mid-winter evening. The unit was clean and fully kitted out with all the essentials. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Just a side note, travelling with tiny kids isn't easy, but this trip was a dream because everything we needed was taken care of. Ian is a pleasant and friendly host.

The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the sea. You can even lie on your bed and watch the surfers. In the apartment is everything you need and more. The Kyknet channel 144 was really a bonus.
Ian, the host's customer service was second to none! He often asked, when he saw us, if everything was still okay at unit one. The unit is top notch. From the lovely bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen with all the modern, neat facilities, to the beautiful private braai area and deck. Oh, it was just sad to have to leave Pier Plesier on our journey.

Originally booked unit 7. This is a hideous unit. Avoid it. Upgraded to unit 1 at extra cost but it was fantastic. A spacious and comfortable unit for a family. Luxury rooms with 3 bathrooms. Looked at the other units and they were cute too. Just stay away from unit 7.

Access to the unit was very easy. The unit is secure and there is security that patrols at night. Perfect location for a nice quick stop over and some good quality surf.

Wow what can I say except amazing. What 'n nice place, we had a wonderful couple of days at Ian's place. The host is so friendly, welcoming and really goes more than the extra mile to make you feel welcome and to help wherever possible. The place is clean and everything you need is already there. The room has a stunning view with the sun rising over the ocean every morning. You are right on the beach with only a couple of steps from the doorstep. Ian you will definitely see us soon. We had a wonderful stay in this clean and well equipped apartment. We were initially concerned that the master bedroom is not private as it looks like you are sleeping in the living room. This was not the case at all and there is separate access from the second bedroom to the veranda. Kitchen is completely adequate and the three bathrooms are a bonus. I can highly recommend this place.

One can sit on the balcony for hours and watch the sea, the view is just incredible, and one can just walk down to the sea to go for a quick swim. The unit we had was very nice with a large balcony that made for hours of reading and looking out at the sea.

The kitchen has everything one needs. The outside door is a plus. The evenings outside on the stoep are picture perfect and fill one's tank again. The roar and roar of the ocean waves is more than enough so that there is no need for radio or TV.

The unit was smaller than expected (second bed was the lounge/kitchen/dining area too), but the unit was well kitted out to make our stay comfortable and had everything we needed. There is no better place to enjoy the wonder of the ocean and the beauty of our country. Just a pity there is very little support from the person who is supposed to receive and assist you.
The one issue was the design of both the shower and bath. Very difficult for the elderly to use without the risk of slipping.

Peaceful, totally relaxing and beautiful views! Ian, the manager is very helpful and friendly. The accommodation, the room and the kitchen have everything you need. This time came for business, but next time the whole family comes to the sea for a fantastic time. Whether you just want to sit and stare at the water, or want to swim, kayak and surf in the waves, this is the place. With only the few houses at Victoria Bay and guests who can drive along the private street by the sea, there is no traffic, only the pedestrians who can walk down the street along the sea to the point. Also a small restaurant by the bay, but for a great variety, George is only a 10 minute drive away. Will definitely come again!

A source of concern affects locals. The accommodation is literally 1 m from the service road and unfortunately this unique location is a concern. There is no visibility of any security men. The restaurant's hours are only until 17:00 so get ready to go elsewhere at night.
