Special place to stay.
Bought in the area so unfortunately won't stay again but will definitely visit the deli and restaurant.
We had a wonderful stay. Upon arrival we wondered about the place, as it is not really "luxury and modern", but the friendly service, the location and the delicious restaurant quickly put us at ease. We couldn't really find fault in the end.
Friendly welcome, clean and tidy and had a nice meal and stay. Would recommend to anyone.
No storage space for suitcases, bedside table easily falls over. No place for clothes in shower. No TV remote.
The entire complex is a very nice place to visit with fires burning at night and in the outdoor part of the restaurant you sit barefoot with your feet in the sand. The view from the top deck is something special. It's very close to the beautiful beach. They may consider putting in air conditioning in the honeymoon room. Or at least a nice fan. Luckily it was cloudy and cool, otherwise we would have gotten very hot at night. Breakfast is not included, but the restaurant makes good food, the ribs were particularly good for dinner and the breakfast is the basic dishes one would expect.

I was on holiday with a large group of friends from Durban to the Western Cape. And on the way back home we stayed overnight at Pilipili. The rooms were very neat and clean. Lovely white duvets and they were incredibly well organised. The restaurant also has the best pizza and sushi and our kids were able to play on the sand while the adults relaxed for a bit after the long drive. My only suggestion would be that they might get air conditioning for the rooms, but while we were there, there was load shedding so it wouldn't have worked anyway. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend it.
Needs an aircon or aircooler as there was no ventilation.
Stayed in honeymoon suite. Bed terrible and room requires mirror and light for ladies to do their make-up.
The room was fresh, clean and very cool. Customer service was excellent. It felt like my own home. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying there.
Would recommend PiliPili Cabanas to any future vacationer, if we could give any more stars we would.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay for 3 nights at PiliPhili Beach Cabanas. The room was tidy, but some practical improvements could be made. Unit no.9: The base of the bedside lamp is much too large and takes up all the space on the single bedside table. Another bedside table can easily be placed, as there is no TV, and this for some guests, resulting in reading time in the evening, must be provided with a place to put the books on. Also some magazines can be placed in the room. A mirror when blow-drying hair can be placed near the power plugs. The bathroom has no shelves or hooks to put one's bath/make-up/toiletries on or to hang toiletry bags on. This can definitely be addressed.
Always great to have the ocean so close to you with a beautiful view. They've put me in a room with 3 bunk beds, without a bathroom door and no TV. I didn't complain because I thought the place was fully booked. Just before I left the next morning the lady manager recognised me as a previous client and said it was a pity she wasn't there last night - she would've put me in a better room. Its a pity that the inexperienced staff doesn't feel the same.
The rooms are very small and have basic necessities.
