Stunning grounds on very well-kept and neat property. Beautiful surroundings and a comfy stay.
Pleasurable and the kids enjoyed the place and all it has to offer very much. Will definitely stay there again.
This establishment is on a plot with lush vegetation and some quaint water features. We were wedged between other guests, with no privacy between the units. Conversations could be heard from next door. Loud music rules were, unfortunately, not upheld by the establishment. There is no under-roof parking. The hosts were very friendly, though. The kitchen cupboard, which is in the bedroom, is stocked with some basic items. It has a lovely little braai on the patio.
Friendly service after hours. Everything was neat and clean, we could easily move in and out of the premises for our appointments in the area. Safe and quiet.
We had a good stay and place is nice.
The rooms were very clean and tidy with clean linen and towels. We had no idea that it was on the same property as an animal shelter so next to our room was the sheep enclosure which smelt. We also had a whole coop of roosters which started at 03:20 each morning. Numerous dogs roaming around the property. The property is very rundown sadly. The pool area was clean and tidy. There were very loud guests on both nights (once at the rooms and the second night at the pool area) which was challenging as both nights went on beyond midnight.
Prices are good and was very safe. Would definitely recommend it.

I had no problems, except for the fact that when we arrived, there were very noisy people and loud music next to the pool. It didn't make a good first impression and the unit my brother was in didn't have any hot water. Please make sure that this is fixed.

What a peaceful and safe environment to spend the night in. The room was clean and spacious. The electric blanket on a firm mattress was a hit. We will spend the night there again at any time if the opportunity arises.

The unit I booked was 1 unit with two living areas. I booked for a wedding, therefore we didn't want separate units. Apart for the wrong rooms, the place was very neat and clean.
Very friendly and hospitable service that did not hesitate to go the extra mile on requests. All negative point was corns that fell on the roof in the middle of the night and thus disturbed sleep. Otherwise great!
The location of the unit was good. I felt safe and the unit was neat, clean and I loved the spacious bathroom. Unfortunately, my unit was not ready when I arrived, and I had to use the unit next to my microwave for lunch. The people were very nice and accommodating. The units are located next to a vet and unfortunately can result in barking dogs. The day I wanted to check out, no one was at reception and there was uncertainty about the outstanding amount payable.
I booked the Rooster Bedroom, but Geoff let us stay in the Weaver Chalet for the weekend at no extra charge. Geoff, you are a host 1000. The atmosphere of Pine Valley is peaceful and the setting beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone.

Geoff and his staff were very friendly and often asked if we were having a good time. Along with the delicious braai places, we would only like to have braai bowls in the residential units. Enough spray for flies too please. Had a great time, thank you very much Geoff!

Very nice people. It's just they build there and you have to let people know before they book. Everything is messed up there and not enough hot water for all the people, but otherwise everything is okay.
It would have been pleasant if provided at least 2 x 500ml water in the fridge. And a mosquito machine!
Geoff (owner) was very welcoming and very friendly which we appreciate a lot, however the room 3 was extremely cold and we were dependant on the electric blanket. The room is not as tidy and when we departed on Sunday 23-07-2017, we were greeted by worms on the kitchen counter. The place is full of dogs which might actually be scary for some people (Not all people love dogs).
I was quite disappointed - the area is beautiful but I expected more of the room. The curtain hooks fell out or are missing so that the curtains hang in loops. The bathroom has blinds that don't cover the entire window - not good for privacy. Above the shower is a hole in the ceiling. I kept expecting something to crawl or fall out of the ceiling.
I stayed in Kingfisher. The finishings in the unit need some attention. Looks like it was done in a hurry and detracts from the unit.
The unit had a funny smell and wasn't very clean. The carpet in the living room was very dirty.
On arrival the cleaner was still busy, the apartment where we stayed was indeed large and bathrooms clean but it was hidden at the very back of the complex and felt like we weren't really part of the place. The other amenities were available. Quick stopover yes, but value for money no. For the same price, I could stay in luxury tent with hot water pool and better facilities for a weekend at another place.
I'm very disappointed in Pine Valley. I'm making sure everybody knows exactly what a terrible place it is.
We were very hospitably welcomed and we also really enjoyed the breakfast.
The friendliest service I have ever had. Every morning new wood was brought in for a nice fire. It was cleaned every morning and the fact that pets are welcome is the best of all for me!
I wanted to say thank you for the weekend – it was great. Loved the fireplace! Loved the “silence of nature” . We had a ball! Also thank you for our booking made for breakfast, they were expecting us and it made us feel special. Breakfast was to die for! And Charlie the dog wanted to say he loved the experience! We will definitely be back. And my neighbours are also interested in coming.

Calm surrounds away from all the busy amenities.
We had the pool all to ourselves. The braai area as well. Geoff, the manager, brought us 30 Seconds as we requested. It's very relaxing and feels like home.
The owner, Geoff, was an excellent host. He went out of his way to be helpful while we were there. And when we had an emergency het gave 120%. Really walked the extra mile to help his fellow human beings. We are really greatful and friendships were started. Thank you Geoff for everything. We will always recommend your establishment.

Breakfast at exactly the time we arranged.
On arrival they were ever so slightly unprepared and I had to do my own credit card transaction with departure as well. Other than that it was clean, neat and the peace was a plus.
We had to wait outside for 15 minutes before we were let in. There is a cellphone number and other numbers on the signage at the gate, but we called in vain. When one of the workers came out of his home, about 200 m from the gate, it was with some effort. They were cold and really didn't feel like helping us. The parking is an absolute nightmare, especially with a large vehicle. Parking is a big no-no. The self-catering unit was spacious, comfortable and neat.
Very neat place that is very well-equipped. Would have like to stay a night or 2 more to be able to give more discerning feedback. I can definitely recommend them!

I had a peaceful stay and I enjoyed being there. The only thing that may be needs to be considered was dogs and birds which were bit distracting at night. Other than that the place is so beautiful and very reasonable.

Pine Valley was extremely convenient as it was situated 4km from the wedding that we all attended for the evening. The accommodation itself was spacious and exceptionally clean. My only gripe would be that we did not have hot water - but this merely an oversight by management. We unfortunately did not spend enough time there to provide a full review on the facilities offered.
Geoff was very friendly and made us feel at home easily, the braai place at our cottage was also very nice.
The owner Geoff was kind enough to help a bunch of girls get the fire started and attend to any needs we had. The place is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a getaway from city life. Each chalet is a fair distance from the other. The owner is warm and welcomimg and eager to assist.

The place is a small gem and Geoff is amazing with his guests. We had a blast as a group and it is a beautiful place.
Perhaps a little-known gem. Pine Valley turned out to be the perfect accommodation option for my group. With simple access to downtown Johannesburg via Beyers Naudé the distance from the city was hardly noticeable. The grounds were immaculate, the accommodations comfortable and convenient and the amenities first class. The area was safe and quiet and surprisingly beautiful. A very pleasant surprise overall.

I will definitely go again. We took our five dogs with us and had a lovely walk with them. The house is completely fenced, very spacious and well equipped. It is also safe.
The unit we were checked into was apparently a new addition. It was sparsely furnished. We took our pets with us as it was a pet friendly resort. We did not find it very pet friendly. The unit was not enclosed, and our sausages felt threatened by the owner's giant dogs. Unfortunately we only spent one of four nights there. My wife got sick and we went home.
The place is very relaxing and we had great fun, however our fridge was not cleaned, the microwave was also not clean and there was soap in the bathroom which previous guests used.
Had a nice stay, enjoyed the area with notable attractions and it can be recommended.
Will recommend Pine Valley to anyone wanting an affordable, but comfortable week - end away. Whether just to relax or take in the many tourist attractions available in the area. Suits young family, just wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle and spend some quality family time. Thanks Geoff a week-end well enjoyed.

I was very amazed at how nice the place were and how big and clean everything was. Further more, the whole place is really beautiful and I will definitely go there again and recommend it to a family member (even if its still the same price - I feel R300 per person is a bit steep especially for large families - perhaps consider including breakfast in the price?).

-Please note that the establishment does not have permanent reception facilities. However, if you require assistance and nobody is at reception, there are people to contact.
-WiFi is suitable for emails, browsing but not large downloads.
-Please note that the facilities are for the use by all guests (unless a lapa is specifically booked for a function).
- Check out strictly 10:00 (we need to clean and prepare the chalets for new arrivals)
- No room servicing on a Sunday or Public Holidays
- Day visitors strictly R200pp by arrangement only
- No smoking inside chalets
- No loud music at chalets at any time and must be off by 22:00 latest. Please respect other guests and neighbours.
- No loud music at lapa/pool areas at any time and must be off by 22:00.
- No hooting, screaming, shouting, abusive behaviour. We are a friendly and peaceful getaway.
- No bomb drops into the pool please – water is a scarce resource!
- Strictly No Fireworks (This has been banned by Mogale City, under whose district we fall. We also have animals on the property.)

The chalet has 3 double bedrooms - single- or king-size beds as required, each with en-suite bathroom. Sleeps up to 6. The Chalet has a large open-plan lounge and kitchen with DStv, fireplace, outside braai and stoep.

The largest chalet sleeps up to 10 and the smallest 4. Each chalet is fully equipped for self-catering, including a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, towels and linen. There is also DStV, WiFi, fireplace (in some of the units) and an outside braai area. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are also provided.
Pine Valley has an 2 separate function and venue Lapa's, 2 separate swimming pools and 2 central braai areas suitable for parties, family reunions and bachelorette parties. Bachelor parties or loud/big sound systems are not allowed.
Meals are provided for on request for groups, parties and functions.
There is a tennis court, 2 swimming pools on the premises. Horse riding, go-karting, river rafting, paintball, fishing, Cradle of Humankind and Maropeng, Lion Park, Wonder and Sterkfontein caves are close by.
